Clarry do remarkably well considering how Gawn and Tracc have polled.

No chance our boys can win. Too many good players in the same team. Wines will win. No competition.

Oliver 1st, Petracca 2nd , Gawn 3rd.

Tonight is really showing that Salem and Langdon don't get as much attention as they deserve. There have probably been three games so far in which they both deserved votes.

I reckon Wines is going to take it out. Doesn’t really have anyone on his team he’ll be competing with. Edit: maybe Boak, the umpires love him but I think he drops off.

Boak already on 11, equal third.

Wines should poll well in hte last 7 games...

Bont gets all the doggies votes, he should win it, even though I’m hoping for one of ours

Ben Gibson's brownlow tracker on melbourne fc.com has Oliver getting Max votes for the next 3 games.

Another one here who had a mild panic that I might not be able to watch the GF thanks to 7’s dumb streaming options, but I’m sorted. Phew.

Can’t watch this though.

Honestly, who actually owns an antenna in 2021? There hasn’t been one in my house for years.

Have we sorted it out? The AFL saying it is on 7 plus for some TVs is not reassuring

i usually rely on Foxtel. Antenna might be flying off the shelves this week!

Strange - even Zen-ish - not to be invested in this in the usual 'last chance to salvage something from the season' way!

Can't watch a T.V broadcast up here in Queensland, so tuned into SEN.

[censored] me dead the ENTIRE broadcast is about nothing more than betting, interrupted by Brownlow votes.

Infuriating.

Which is bullocks. Macrae has 35 touches nearly every game and he’s not taking many votes of the Bont.

Typical give the 5000$ to some brat who’s parents own a tennis court

To be fair, it was only on the tennis court because the basketball court was being re-surfaced.

Under the radar. I like it

Does that mean Max will be getting Clarry votes? Not sure how it works...

Who’s on second?

Poppy Aus kicker of the year wins 5k . Filmed her video from her family tennis court

That is pathetic.

Nothing against the young kid winning the prize but one would think the prize could go to a kid’s family with more modest finances than one owning a tennis court.

Salem arguably our best player at round 8, has one vote. Why don’t they just call the medal the best midfielder and be done with!

umpires don’t have a clue

Are they doing MOTY as well tonight or has that already been done?

  • REPORT: Richmond

The fans who turned up to the MCG for Melbourne’s Anzac Day Eve clash against Richmond would have been disappointed if they turned up to see a great spectacle. As much as this was a night for the 71,635 in attendance to commemorate heroes of the nation’s past wars, it was also a time for the Melbourne Football Club to consolidate upon its first win after a horrific start to the 2025 season. On this basis, despite the fact that it was an uninspiring and dour struggle for most of its 100 minutes, the night will be one for the fans to remember. They certainly got value out of the pre match activity honouring those who fought for their country. The MCG and the lights of the city as backdrop was made for nights such as these and, in my view, we received a more inspirational ceremony of Anzac culture than others both here and elsewhere around the country.

  • CASEY: Richmond

The match up of teams competing in our great Aussie game at its second highest level is a rarity for a work day Thursday morning but the blustery conditions that met the players at a windswept Casey Fields was something far more commonplace. They turned the opening stanza between the Casey Demons and a somewhat depleted Richmond VFL into a mess of fumbling unforced errors, spilt marks and wasted opportunities for both sides but they did set up a significant win for the home team which is exactly what transpired on this Anzac Day round opener. Casey opened up strong against the breeze with the first goal to Aidan Johnson, the Tigers quickly responded and the game degenerated into a defensive slog and the teams were level when the first siren sounded.

  • POSTGAME: Richmond

After five consecutive defeats, the Demons have now notched up back-to-back victories, comfortably accounting for the Tigers in the traditional ANZAC Eve clash. They surged to a commanding 44-point lead early in the final quarter before easing off the pedal, resting skipper Max Gawn and conceding the last four goals of the game to close out a solid 20-point win.
