Garbage penalty sooo soft from the AFL

Collective sigh of relief at Geelong!

On appeal will get 2 wait and see eligible for Grand Final potentially

About what you'd expect. Normal player 6 weeks, star player 50% discount.

As I've written before, Greene has been cited 21 times, fined $29, 000 in total. For a highly paid player like him that's peanuts. And it certainly doesn't deter him. Fines in such a circumstance are giving him the Greene light to add to his status as a repeat offender.

22 times

A final has to be worth more than home and away so if they lose this week it’s probably equal to 4 at least. There is not a player in the AFL who wouldn’t give up a few home and away games for a final. If they make the PF it is even more.

Three weeks for making deliberate contact with an umpire. Joke of a decision.

Given he pleaded not guilty and the afl.asked for 6, 3 weeks is a joke.

The afl should appeal

Considering he could miss 3 finals including a prelim and GF, the suspension is not insignificant

equal to 6-8 in the H&A

The AFL had a chance to send a clear signal, across all levels of football, that umpire abuse in any form wouldn't be tolerated. Absolutely bottled it.

Yep. This double standards is [censored]. Neal Bulleen got 4 weeks for a sling tackle that he pleaded guilty to and showed remorse.

Not directly comparable but one is a worse look on the afl.

Fair to say Tommy Bugg not happy with the decision.

Very well-made point by Tommy

Definitley got the Toby doscount.  Unfortunately, did anyone really expect the AFL to have the courage and sense to give him more?
