Touk Miller’s goal just put the Suns 19 points in front.

Just shows that you can’t take anything for granted from one week to another.

Carlton have so much young talent

the Blues have gone past us

finals for sure this year

Pretty much from the moment Derwayne prattled on about how well Teague had done as coach since taking over… it’s been all Gold Coast!

Terrible decision to give Miller that free. Nothing in it. And to pay it in front of goal so late in the game is outrageous. If I were a Carlton supporter...oh well, I'm not.

Both teams look terrible. Happy the Suns could bounce back since they'd have had a terrible week. Looks like curtains for Teague.

If GC can keep their list together they have more upside than the Blues I reckon. Witts back next year makes a huge difference. Plus Weller, Budarick etc.

they have the makings of a good solid midfield

Selwood proves yet again that the only weapon he has left in his toolkit at his age is to hit people high. It’s his mode of operation now.

North’s improvement from the start of the year has been massive.

Ditto Richmond’s decline from the start of the year which has been dramatic.

the worst thing about this is that the faction of the carlton board that can quite clearly see that the teague train has definitely gone off the rails will get their way and ditch him with a year to go on the contract

But if they want Clarko and he wants a year off, that could cause issues, unless Hawks let him have his full contract fee, even if he coaches another club.

I can't realistically see how it would happen, but I'd really love it if Gold Coast could dig deep after their embarrassment of last week and knock off Carlton today.  Would make Carlton supporters feel some Melbourne like pain of having their season snuffed out totally by a team they should beat every other day, after thinking they might be within a sniff of a finals chance after their win last week.

your wish was granted Rod🤣

This is what the MRP will calculate. I would argue intentional which is 2 weeks reduced to 1.

Oh! Sorry! Wrong table. That's the table for non-"good blokes" & non-star players. You should consult the correct table for Selwood:

Star player: 1 point
Finals contention: 1 point
Brownlow contention: 0 points
"He wouldn't have meant that": 1 point
"Aw gee, we can't have players like XXX on the sidelines. The fans want to see them out on the ground": 1 point

So 4 points. That's no case to answer, media appearances on the regular footy shows, and 4 weeks for a no-name player doing exactly the same thing next week.

Yep, Alex Neal-Bullen would be well advised to take next week off.

If anything was to sum up the BS of the MRO, this is it. One incident happening in the action of a fend off with ball in the hand given 2 weeks, the other a blatantly dangerous and dirty act given a weak as p!$$ fine.

Micheal Christian needs to be replaced.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
