To err is human. To forgive isĀ DENIEDĀ because… Essendon ?Ā

Unless you’re prepared to destroy your phone and/or any other tainted device. And burn the clothes you were wearing at the time (for good measure.)

probably still would have struggled for a ticket.

Email from the club - Interesting bit in bold

As an away access member, you will be able to redeem a ticket to our upcoming Round 15 match.

How to get tickets:

  • Log-in to your Ticketek account
  • Click ---- SELECT DATE ---- and select Club Members & Public Reserve
  • Enter your barcode(s) into the box provided and select Unlock Tickets. Enter each barcode on a new line. A maximum of 6 tickets can be redeemed per transaction

  • Select general reserve to access a $0 ticket (subject to capacity) OR select a specific seating area to purchase an upgrade to a reserved seatĀ
  • Use the drop-down box to select your ticket under Upgrade: Adult Club Member. You will need to do this for each barcode entered
  • Select Next to view your seat(s)

Hell even as an away member I'm concerned there won't be enough tickets. We're entirely dependent on Essendon fans choosing not to go.

are you a provisional mcc member?

Somehow ranked beneath a visitor's pass of a Full/Restricted Member.

Don't think any visitor passes should have gone on sale FWIW

Given there are (again)Ā no new cases in Vic today, any chance the powers that be will announce a change in capacity thereby making more tickets available?

Or is it too late now?

Unfortunately they are up and about and believe they are the second coming. They will be out in force.

Will be great watching them leave halfway through the last 45 points down. Bubble burst. Hubris will remain though - it is their natural demeanour.

ah i stand corrected! I thought they could buy 1 visitor ticket. Hopefully you'll get to the next game easy.

Have you been vaccinated?

I think they are only offering tickets to people who have had at least their firstĀ shot. At least i hope that's the case

It's increasingly looking like the best mix is one of both so you may both get your wish.

The club website says no visitors tickets will be sold for the game

As there seems to be no mention of it anywhere would it be reasonable to assume that Essendon members are not restricted to the same % amount placed on MCC & AFL members? If they aren't then that would mean they have first access to all of the remaining seats up for grabs until the 25,000 figure is reached. In which case the rest of us areĀ probably screwed.Ā

Still MCC Level 1 tickets available.

You’ll be happy to know there are no visitor tickets for MCC on Saturday. Pays to researchĀ

So the over 60s in the MCC will be fine.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.Ā

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
