Other than Eddy commentating no issues with Foxtel for me.

Streaming issues. Has been happening for hours. Set top boxes not affected apparently.

Lots of cranky people out there.

I enjoy seeing the Eagles fans losing their minds. I hope they get beaten.

Yes it is good but I just loath Essendon so much I hope they win or maybe a draw.

Pity about Essendon. I really want Merrett in our line up. We won't get him now. The Eagles are undermanned and lack spark, but Essendon are very impressive.

Handy win in the context of the ladder for us though. West Coast's top 4 hopes look shot.

Well, it looks like we won't be going to Perth for a final and if we can get the job done next Friday we'll be unlikely to have to go to Brisbane.

I hate Essendon, but I have to admire how Rutten has got them playing.

West Coast is going to lose to Essendon.

That will put us 4 games clear of the Eagles at the halfway mark of the season. Huge.

Meanwhile Essendon will be 5-6 with a percentage over 100%, and (COVID aside) they're only scheduled to travel once more this year.

I was watching the other game and followed the scores in the corner of the screen. Can someone tell me what the hell happened to west coast? At one stage they were 29 points up. They were stuck on 71 practically all quarter.

Now thanks to west coast the bummers are in 8th spot and have got there supporters up and about again. And the media talking about how good there kids are. Thanks a lot, the past few years have been enjoyable because they've been so bad.

Tim Kelly got injured and sat out the second half. So not only were they down a rotation, they were down their best current mid. Essendon should have capitalised in the first half on their forward half dominance though. They deserved their win.

Wce accurate kicking probably made it look like they were going better than they were. They lost Kelly early in the 2nd and Allen after half time. One less rotation for a half of footy they just looked gassed

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
