Clarry best for us by a mile

This is why Oliver is a star. When the pressure is on Oliver gets going. He is a freak.

Clayton Oliver magnificent this quarter.

Oliver big goal, he’s been easily our best this quarter.

We look better this quarter.

He had been brilliant this quarter

It'll be our fitness vs the home town advantage in the last...

Oliver is kicking goals. My goodness.

I guess this game was always going to be tough with thirty 1000 crazy booing crows nuts.

Sam w may be making way for bbb i think.

ANB having a shocker.

When Trac burst through the centre he should put it to the forwards. That handball to Clarrie was a horrible option. If he didn’t like any option coming at him have a shot, he was in range,

Kozzie should take as many of the kick in marks as possible.  We've given them far too much acreage off that kick in far too often for most if this match

It’s going to go either way. Unless at least 5 of our players who have put in shockers lift then it’s going to be one long struggle.

Clarry a gun

Well we’re being put under the pump, now we see what the players are made of.

Hunt is showing the lack of composure that got him dropped over the past 2 years.

he needs to do better or can’t be risked down back

when you are playing poorly, do the simple things

We are very very lucky to have Oliver. He is keeping us in this contest.
Need more from McDonald and Trac if we are going to win this.

Sloppy ball handling, fumbling, luck of the bounce going the other way ... and we're still in front. Now for the final quarter fitness advantage.

We got on top in that quarter after a very shaky start. Olly Trac and Dogga to the fore. Our fitness will be a big factor in the last. I think we will close it out from here

What?

Every time we play a lowly team near the bottom of the ladder we play to their standards!?

Agree. Also if there is a spoil up the ground it can rebound quickly to him one out.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.

  • CASEY: Sandringham

The Casey Demons rebounded from a sluggish start to manufacture a decisive win against Sandringham in the final showdown, culminating a quarter century of intense rivalry between the fluctuating alignments of teams affiliated with AFL clubs Melbourne and St Kilda, as the Saints and the Zebras prepare to forge independent paths in 2026. After conceding three of the first four goals of the match, the Demons went on a goal kicking rampage instigated by the winning ruck combination of Tom Campbell with 26 hitouts, 26 disposals and 13 clearances and his apprentice Will Verrall who contributed 20 hitouts. This gave first use of the ball to the likes of Jack Billings, Bayley Laurie, Riley Bonner and Koltyn Tholstrup who was impressive early. By the first break they had added seven goals and took a strong grip on the game. The Demons were well served up forward early by Mitch Hardie and, as the game progressed, Harry Sharp proved a menace with a five goal performance. Emerging young forwards Matthew Jefferson and Luker Kentfield kicked two each but the former let himself down with some poor kicking for goal.
Young draft talent Will Duursma showed the depth of his talent and looks well out of reach for Melbourne this year. Kalani White was used sparingly and had a brief but uneventful stint in the ruck.

The Demons return to the scene of the crime on Saturday to face the wooden spooners the Eagles at the Docklands. Who comes in and who goes out? Like moving deck chairs on the Titanic.

It's Game Day and there are only 5 games to go. Can the Demons find some consistency and form as they stagger towards the finish line of another uninspiring season?
