Dropped again for the 3rd or 4th time this year.

As I said last year, I would target him.

Half back or even solving our other wing issue.

With Jetta probably gone and Hibberd near the end, he could be very useful for us.

For depth?

Don't know a thing about Clark, other than I have him in my Ultimate Footy side and does nothing.

What's the knock on him?

At the very worst. I think he is unhappy atm and a fresh start could be what he needs.

Agreed. I think he can play a bit. Might be alright on the wing.

Cat's have been playing him up forward, must not trust him defensively which is interesting

Like we played Hunt forward and plenty on here wanted him gone. He is not that dissimilar to Hunt in his playing style.

I remember when I pushed for Shai Bolton a few years ago, when he had only played a couple of games in the seniors and was playing most of the year in the VFL and the DL knock on him was we don’t need a Tiger’s seconds player. Just saying.

@Mach5 might have some insight here. The rumours going around seem to relate to his off-fiield standards/professionalism needing improvement. No idea how accurate that is.

Looked a serious talent in his debut year.

Attitude.

Lots of people I work with who are Geelong can’t believe he gets dropped and Zac Guthrie gets a game.

Know the young man well.
Great fella and could be a handy pick up if we can get. Certainly worth throwing a second round pick at.

Confidence and attitude play hand in hand. Think Choco and yze would get him humming !

It’s a dangerous thing to assume supporters of any club know what they’re talking about though. You only have to look at some of the garbage that gets posted on here.

For example, you might actually work with the Geelong equivalent of Dr.D.

What I’ve seen of the kid he shows something, I don’t watch them enough have a strong opinion either way.
But not many down this way like Chris Scott too much.

No for mine.

Who would he replaced in our best 22, or best 30 for that matter.

Similar was said about Langdon when we were looking at him wasn't it?

I watch a bit of Geelong as my wife is a cats supporter and I think we could do worse. Would be an upgrade on our squad at the very least and wouldn't cost us much.

perth lad, isn't he?

meanwhile, cerra wants to return to victoria?

do cats have a first rounder this year (or next?) that they could bundle with clark to get cerra?

Surely we are broke now. We have to go to the draft for the next couple of years and squirell away some money for Jacko, Rivers and Kossi. I spose we'll be a destination team for a few years but they will have to come across for peanuts.

  • REPORT: West Coast

On a night of counting, Melbourne captain Max Gawn made sure that his contribution counted. He was at his best and superb in the the ruck from the very start of the election night game against the West Coast Eagles at Optus Stadium, but after watching his dominance of the first quarter and a half of the clash evaporate into nothing as the Eagles booted four goals in the last ten minutes of the opening half, he turned the game on its head, with a ruckman’s masterclass in the second half.  No superlatives would be sufficient to describe the enormity of the skipper’s performance starting with his 47 hit outs, a career-high 35 possessions (22 of them contested), nine clearances, 12 score involvements and, after messing up an attempt or two, finally capping off one of the greatest rucking performances of all time, with a goal of own in the final quarter not long after he delivered a right angled pass into the arms of Daniel Turner who also goaled from a pocket (will we ever know if the pass is what was intended). That was enough to overturn a 12 point deficit after the Eagles scored the first goal of the second half into a 29 point lead at the last break and a winning final quarter (at last) for the Demons who decided not to rest their champion ruckman at the end this time around.

  • POSTGAME: West Coast

Following a disastrous 0–5 start to the season, the Demons have now made it three wins in a row, cruising past a lacklustre West Coast side on their own turf. Skipper Max Gawn was once again at his dominant best, delivering another ruck masterclass to lead the way.

  • GAMEDAY: West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have a chance to notch up their third consecutive win — something they haven’t done since Round 5, 2024. But to do it, they’ll need to exorcise the Demons of last year’s disastrous trip out West. Can the Dees continue their momentum, right the wrongs of that fateful clash, and take another step up the ladder on the road to redemption?
