Bruce kicked 10!? I thought April Fools Day was yesterday??

Gee I'm sure Shaun Higgins does not regret his decision to move at all. also I wonder if Josh Dunkley is thanking his lucky stars he did not move to the bummers.

I'm not a fan of north but I do feel for there coach and I hope roosy and others give him some support. Although he wasn't a favourite Mark Neeld did cop a lot of heat and not a lot of support back then.

So next week nth play the crows at marvel, what crowd number do you think they will get and will the crow fans outnumber the nth fans?

I'm looking forward to seeing them get flogged by 100+ points ?

The Pies may not be the finest chocolates going around at the moment but they almost always give a 100% red hot go every game, making them a hard team to beat.

I would not even give them a millimeter let alone an inch.  Replay that match ten times over they probably win eight of them and they're looking ok and one of the team's to beat.

I must admit their forward line looks flakey though and too reliant on DeGoey kicking 4 to 5 each week to get them over the line.

Hoewever as we know, footy is very fickle, occasionally decided by the mere direction a ball bounces (see Milne 1st drawn GF 2010).

While they still have Pendles & Sidebottom (when in form) running around, write off the Pies at your peril.

I was referring to the kangas. Collingwood are still a dangerous team and no easy beats.

If the AFL hand us (Tasmania) this steaming [censored] it’s just proof of their contempt for the push for a team. “You wanted a team, here it is. Enjoy.” ?

Yep. No one wants them

They should have gone to the Gold Coast when the offer was there

Is it too early for us to start packing up and moving to Arden St?

(Good digs and a train station coming soon - will be a mini CBD soon enough with a footy oval in the middle)

North's percentage after 3 rounds is 37.3%. outside of Essendon I cannot think of a side they would be a chance to beat. It is quite likely they will go all season without a win and less than 50%.

We can all thank chookrat when Tom Dyson kicks 7 goals, 1 after the siren to beat us, in their only win of the season and we miss finals by 0.0000001% (to Collingwood or Essendon)

Maybe we will see a 100 goal season by a forward this year. I’d like to see that, any chance it can happen?

And of course the Dogs play Kangaroos twice this season.  We only get them once.  Shocker hey?

might change with brassie covid?

Could easily happen if Forward Lines are open

I feel no Sympathy ?

I'm glad we have the Sun's and I'm glad North are still in Melbourne. Anyone wishing death or relocation on other teams should have a good hard look at themselves. What happened to Fitzroy (and almost us and Hawthorn) should never happen again. Remember North and Fitzroy wanted to merge but were blocked by the AFL and the other clubs.

There should be room for only one Melbourne in the Competition

Nought should never have been allowed in back in 1925

Always Hated them, Always will

South Melbourne didn’t last and Neither will North

Ouch, I just opened the AFL app to see what happened. This could be the beginning of the end for North if they aren’t careful.

They’ve almost certainly lost the Good Friday game for next year, they will be a terrible team for at least the next couple of years and after pushing so hard for it you can’t put up such an insipid performance.

We’ve been there, it really sucks.

I am not sure who the main commentator for the adelaide/suns clash is ( maybe that Dwayne Russell type ) but every time that blinking Walker goes near the ball he has absolute multiples. He is worse than Mcevany.

Ben King has 4 goals already.  Tex doing well again. Bruce kicking 10.

Its the year for big forwards....  Benny Brown would have kicked 80 this year if he played a full season.. we need him and Weid back!

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

From the start, Melbourne’s performance against the Gold Coast Suns at Peoples First Stadium was nothing short of a massive botch up and it came down in the first instance to poor preparation. Rather than adequately preparing the team for battle against an opponent potentially on the skids after suffering three consecutive losses, the Demons looking anything but sharp and ready to play in the opening minutes of the game. By way of contrast, the Suns demonstrated a clear sense of purpose and will to win. From the very first bounce of the ball they were back to where they left off earlier in the season in Round Three when the teams met at the MCG. They ran rings around the Demons and finished the game off with a dominant six goal final term. This time, they produced another dominant quarter to start the game, restricting Melbourne to a solitary point to lead by six goals at the first break, by which time, the game was all but over.

  • CASEY: Gold Coast

Coming off four consecutive victories and with a team filled with 17 AFL listed players, the Casey Demons took to their early morning encounter with the lowly Gold Coast Suns at People First Stadium with the swagger of a team that thought a win was inevitable. They were smashing it for the first twenty minutes of the game after Tom Fullarton booted the first two goals but they then descended into an abyss of frustrating poor form and lackadaisical effort that saw the swagger and the early arrogance disappear by quarter time when their lead was overtaken by a more intense and committed opponent. The Suns continued to apply the pressure in the second quarter and got out to a three goal lead in mid term before the Demons fought back. A late goal to the home side before the half time bell saw them ten points up at the break and another surge in the third quarter saw them comfortably up with a 23 point lead at the final break.

  • POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast

The Demons did not come to play from the opening bounce and let the Gold Coast kick the first 5 goals of the match. They then outscored the Suns for the next 3 quarters but it was too little too late and their season is now effectively over.
