If you go back through the thread the Box Hill line up is listed. Apparently a lot of Box Hill listed players

No Bruest

I don't think any of the AFL listed players are playing.

Cheers. Trent Mynott and Cal Porter the only former AFL players that I could see running around for Box Hill.

Our AFL guys should be putting in strong performances (and it seems they are).

I've always made a point of not criticizing the MFC on here, but the absence of any information about this match, with senior selections potentially hinging on it, is shameful.  It disrespects us supporters who, after all, are the lifeblood of the Club. Grrrr!

You’d imagine Brayshaw is an absolute certainty next week given he’s had two VFL hit outs. Hopefully he has the match fitness to play major minutes inside the centre with the absence of Viney, where he plays his best footy.

With Viney out there's a spot in the guts for him.  That's where he needs to play.

And Tracc plays predominately forward, out of the square till we get more of our big forwards back. No mention of Mitch Brown tonight so I suspect he is an unlikely starter, round 1.

Yeah agreed that Trac should be at least 50/50. Hopefully an Oliver, Brayshaw, Harmes and Petracca midfield should be good enough to get the job done.

Not sure he does yet, or if his foot is ready for it. No idea what percentage of the game he played today, but last week vs Bulldogs he only played a half and was then sitting around afterwards at Marvel with a heavily strapped left foot.

All very well for the club propaganda to say the players are angry about 2020:  not half  as angry as the loyal, “thick and thin” lifelong supporters who have been treated like irrelevancies by the club in not sharing the fact that some important players were pushing for selection tonight.

Anyone look at the hawthorn website for info about the match?  The only vfl match I saw there was 3 days ago. Perhaps I missed something. Or their PR dept is as bad as ours or both clubs were    Keeping quiet for some reason.

All a bit weird this. The Casey site has info on the Casey v Bulldogs practise match from Monday, but not this one.

Hmm seems like multiply “ dropping the ball “ frees to me.

Sorry sue, I could care less about the hawks but there is simply no excuse.

Mwmbers are the key stakeholders. Many of us didn't ask for money back last year. Those that did likely had to because they needed the money.

To not provide information about tgis game is a total joke. If it was a one off  then maybe you give the club a pass. But it unfortunately it isn't.

Apet from respecting the fans such poor communication is just rubbish business.

What makes it worse is the covid related cuts are no excuse. These days content is basically free. Send Ben Gibson down take a few grainy photos, maybe a video on the phone and 25 tweets.

And alerting fans to the game even less effort and time.

Jesus... ?

It was a VFL practise match. They weren't even taking stats. The Casey Demons twitter account posted quarterly updates re what was going on, who was getting involved..etc.

I'm not going to provide the link, cause I'm sure if people cared as much as their complaining would suggest, they'd have already found it by now. Wasn't hard.

Yep, great idea! Let’s take the bloke who finished 3rd in the Brownlow last year out of the engine room. Ridiculous

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
