I've just noticed that of all the recent Demon Defectors, none but Oscar is getting a game at the moment. Injuries have laid low the mighty Jesse, the Front Runner Hannan, poor Preussy Boy, and Dean Kent can't get a game with the Saints. Domus Tyson can't crack it either. And fat lot of good it did Jimmy the Toump jumping ship...

There's a part of me that wishes Stf Martin had come home instead of queuing at the Kennel.

After the shameful way he was treated, I doubt Stef would ever want to return.

No,  it was the “MC” who rocked the house.

Front Runner Hannan

That's a bit of an unnecessary slur on the bloke isn't it.

I'm a bit disappointed that we didn't get more out of Hannan given his best was pretty bloody good, but I'd personally put that down more to a bad rub with injuries than any lack of endeavor about the way he played.

And in my wild erratic fancy

vision came to me of Hannan

Running towards the goal

Oh what a run, oh what a run.

PS. I thought he was great. I wish he was still a Demon.

Jimma Frawley has hit the injury wall as well. And remember what happened to Jack Watts and Mitch after they left ?

To be fair to the club, in recent years (I'm talking 2000+) there haven't been too many delistings/trading out that have hurt the club.  And while they haven't all worked out, a number of players that we have brought in to the club have played some very capable roles for us.  Just need to look at our current "best 22" that would see May, Lever and Langdon up there with the first picked.

Jeremy Howe is about the only really good player who left us in recent times: the rest for various reasons didnt fire at all

Howe wasn't anywhere near as good with us as he has become either, he was getting there though

If anyone deserves the front-runner tag it's Howe.  Didn't want to be a defender in a rubbish team but loves it at Collingwood.  Never having an opponent helps.

Toumpas is a real estate agent, I tried calling him about a property but he wouldn’t take my call. Still avoiding contact it would seem.

Jake Spencer is captain of Doncaster in the EFL this year. He joined them for 2020 before the season was cancelled.

absolute star, when he grew the hair and beard out, had to rep him

Amazing that we have gotten this far into the thread and no mention of the two over exposed, over hyped  and underachieving poster boy captains of a decade ago.
Cursed by the dreaded MFC bung foot syndrome, Schwabitis and Neeldenza. I don’t blame anyone for forgetting the two Jacks. Anyone know what they are up to?

Chatted to both those young men off field when they were going through injury recovery. Both very smart and very professional. It was a shocking curse that they succumbed to injuries and we never saw them become the A graders they had the potential to be.

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
