Great another injury plagued Nth player on our list

who's the other one?

if you mean bbb, he has only missed games due to injury in 2020 (played 9/17 games).  played 22 games in each of the previous 5 years after debuting in his initial season in round 14 playing all remaining games including finals.

hardly "injury plagued"

Poor fwd, average ruck and decent Backman.
doesnt make a lot of sense to me. We have some average fwd back up options, we don’t need more

If we were after a ruck back up I’d have preferred we picked a youngish ruckman from the vfl or other lower levels that might develop

Why is it Bizarre? We have just had 2 big forwards go down as well as Marty Hore for the season

He is a liability on the field,  thats why.

I admire him for getting back to playing sport after what he went through but there is a reason he was playing for North Heidelberg up until today.

This pre season is going from bad to worse. If MD plays due to injuries we are absolutely shot. Great he has overcome obstacles but another injury prone player from a bottom club. Complete waste of time

Smacks of desperation.

But with your two key forwards out of action, and a dodgy old TMac as a a fill-in, a bunch of small to medium sized players with nothing to crumb, the Daw experiment is understandable but bound to fail.

What would I do?  Dunno but the footy season like Covid, maybe another year of endurance, patience and stoicism. Joy maybe something to hope for in another winter of discontent.

God no rather Daw.

If his mind and body are good to go then getting a life line when he was prepared to play local footy could just be the kick in the pants and HUGE motivator for him to play good footy again.

You just never know  it’s worth the risk imo.

Strength, speed, leap, to name a few. Probably the same amount of footy IQ.

If Majak can prove his fitness both mentally and physically - it's a yes from me. There are 42 odd blokes on a list - he won't be the worst on the list and might just prove a good back up option when needed.

If nothing else the blow up from the negative nancies on here would well worth the price of admission ???

Desperation my ar.e, they have 2 list spots available, 2 forwards have gone down, they are being proactive.

I don’t understand the hostility to this idea.

He gets a 12-month contract on small money and provides cover only.  Seems a pretty low risk straight forward back up option to me.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the scorching morning heat to bring you the following observations of Wednesday's preseason training session from Gosch's Paddock. HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
