Last round starts tonight.

Obviously going for Big GWS win over Saints and Bulldog loss to Freo.

Hoping for a big win over Ess.

Noticed on last nights Fox AFL program, video of Freo training in Cairns and the dogs on the gold Coast.

Hoping the acclimatisation helps Freo, and the dogs do a FIFO on Sunday.

Dogs fly up Saturday. If only we were allowed to do that.

No excuses, but zero doubt that heavily disadvantaged us. We looked sluggish the whole game, question for me is why didn't we fly with Freo straight after their game so that we could at least have the day to prepare?

Eagles have no desire to win this one.

Plane is probably warming up already

Kennedy in the rooms with a left leg injury.  hard to know how serious.  could be ankle or knee

Imagine Luke Mcdonald and Jack Viney competing against each other in a drill. It'd just be two blokes running around in circles trying to get on their left

Whoever is playing WC next week has a free ticket. Bulldogs 2016 all over again?

Don't get it.  Don't they (us, God willing) have to travel to Perth?

Hard to do with those in your system!

They were rubbish tonight. Couldn’t kick 50 points against the second worse team in the comp. Have injury concerns, Kennedy, Shuey, McGovern, Yeo. Natanui is almost ineffective. Ryan is the only match winner they have. Not going to win finals with that.

And no, it won’t be us. It will be the Dogs, who will run rings around them.

Displays like the one tonight are not good for the game. Found myself dripping off to sleep from half way through the third quarter. Only just woke up.

they play a lot better at optus. they're a lock for rd 2 of finals

WC choose when to play.  they just did enough to win which is all they needed

they will smash whoever they play in 2 weeks.  time to get their injured players right

Gee West Coast are suckers for the injury at the business end of the season. Not that anyone here minds too much!

The giants need to play high risk footy with attack being their main priority and have almost a selfish mentality. Given their personal I think they will relish being able to play like this.

Tonight will be a shootout, I think it'll be a 6+ goal loss either way. Not sure if the Saints have the depth in goal kickers to keep up with the giants if their mids get on top

Pumped for the game tonight. should be a great game with both going in hard. I reckon the Giants will get over the line with Green, Haynes, Whitfield, Kelly, Cameron, Williams, Taranto and Coniglio just too much class.

don't know how I'm going to handle lockdown when the footy is finished.

Agree ... I think GWS will win.

Having said that, I doubt that we will overtake the Saints percentage, even if we win.

Giants need % so they will be hungry. They’ll do the job for us

  • REPORT: Geelong

I was disappointed to hear Goody say at his post match presser after the team’s 39 point defeat against Geelong that "we're getting high quality entry, just poor execution" because Melbourne’s problems extend far beyond that after its 0 - 4 start to the 2025 football season. There are clearly problems with poor execution, some of which were evident well before the current season and were in play when the Demons met the Cats in early May last year and beat them in a near top-of-the-table clash that saw both sides sitting comfortably in the top four after round eight. Since that game, the Demons’ performances have been positively Third World with only five wins in 19 games with a no longer majestic midfield and a dysfunctional forward line that has become too easy for opposing coaches to counter. This is an area of their game that is currently being played out as if they were all completely panic-stricken.

  • PREGAME: Essendon

Facing the very real and daunting prospect of starting the season with five straight losses, the Demons head to South Australia for the annual Gather Round, where they’ll take on the Bombers in search of their first win of the year. Who comes in, and who comes out?

  • NON-MFC: Round 04

Round 4 kicks off with a blockbuster on Thursday night as traditional rivals Collingwood and Carlton clash at the MCG, with the Magpies looking to assert themselves as early-season contenders and the Blues seeking their first win of the season. Saturday opens with Gold Coast hosting Adelaide, a key test for the Suns as they aim to back up their big win last week, while the Crows will be looking to keep their perfect record intact. Reigning wooden spooners Richmond have the daunting task of facing reigning premiers Brisbane at the ‘G and the Lions will be eager to reaffirm their premiership credentials after a patchy start. Saturday night sees North Melbourne take on Sydney at Marvel Stadium, with the Swans looking to build on their first win of the season last week against a rebuilding Roos outfit. Sunday’s action begins with GWS hosting West Coast at ENGIE Stadium, a game that could get ugly very early for the visitors. Port Adelaide vs St Kilda at Adelaide Oval looms as a interesting clash, with both clubs form being very hard to read. The round wraps up with Fremantle taking on the Western Bulldogs at Optus Stadium in what could be a fierce contest between two sides with top-eight ambitions. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons besides us winning?

  • POSTGAME: Geelong

The Demons have slumped to their worst start to a season since 2012, falling to 0–4 after a more spirited showing against the Cats at Kardinia Park. Despite the improved effort, they went down by 39 points, and the road ahead is looking increasingly grim.
