Here we go again  handball happy  kick long to no one

Ok so the entries into the 50 aren't working, what's the plan guys?

One option... Get all players, other than Spargo & Weid, to lead their players to the arc or just outside.  Leave those two with space in front and space behind them for Brown to lead back into.

Wow O-Mac....5 meters off his man left in no man's land there.  And all players running forward of the ball before that caught out on the turnover.  Ordinary stuff Demons.  Saved by Harmes on that.

That kick to Weid on the lead sums us up so far - he had two to beat, then they had another to help mop it up.  Where are we at the moment?  If they have so many loose, why aren't we getting more of it?

Thank god for that

They look flat as a tack and all running kicking forward in straight lines.  Switch or 45 to change the angle of attack and make it harder for the opp to defend

Nice finish Gus.

God we needed that.

They're asleep

Lucky goal

Brayshaw is handy with those snap goals.  ?  Phew.

Thought having a finals spot on the line might have given the players a bit of motivation.....obviously not.

It looks to me like they're flooding back, cluttering up our space. A weakness we've had for years.

Is Kayo an option for you?  Or AFL live pass for a game by game option?

I feel your pain, I’m not quite sure how I survived before Kayo.  I remember having an AFL live subscription watching the games with my family huddled around my iPad.

Yeah Kayo or AFL live pass are options. Just annoys me that we are always expected to pay while other clubs have superior FTA options.

Zero defensive pressure inside our 50

That's been the most disappointing thing so far, Moonie.

We put more pressure on then around the contest and it resulted in a goal.  We need to lift big time in that area.

Not switched on at all

Seriously, where is the talk?  Why in the world do we need three going up when Gawn can take the mark?  Ridiculous play.

  • THE STATS FILES: St. Kilda

As part of the effort to trim the runtime of the regular podcast, we’ve been looking at which segments could be reshaped without losing what makes them valuable. One segment that naturally came into focus was Binman’s Stats Files. Not because it isn’t important; quite the opposite. It’s become such a substantial and much-loved part of the show that it deserves a little room to breathe.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

One of the big stories of the AFL off-season was the spending spree of Melbourne’s Round 1 opponent, St Kilda. They splashed out heavily, first to retain Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera - the hero of last year’s epic come-from-behind miracle victory -turning him into a $2 million man. They then effectively took out an expensive overdraft to recruit a string of expensive players from other clubs. It was a risky investment strategy and, although it’s still early days, it certainly failed to pay off in Sunday’s season opener, with much of the glitter turning to fool’s gold.
