    Looks like Sicily has done his ACL

    Won’t see him again until 2022; will be interesting to see what they do re skipper as he was seemingly a lock to get the gig next year

Yesterday's match was the 47th time West Coast have received more free kicks than the opposition in games umpired with Dean Margetts, 7 times both teams have received the same amount of frees and 15 times West Coast have received less free kicks than the opposition.

    Watching Channel 7 cover this Essendon game proves how biased the media coverage of the AFL is. If Melbourne, the Saints, North or the Dogs has delivered up a spineless half like that they would be (rightly) nailed to the cross. Instead they keep trying to barrack for them to come back into the contest. 

    They are missing probably 12 of their best 22 including most of their goal kicking power. They did well to limit the damage despite playing so poorly.

Two teams widely predicted to finish near the foot of the AFL table in 2026 face off against each other in sweltering 30-degree heat deep in outer suburbia in a match simulation with fresh new faces and uneven team numbers. There are no nearby sheep stations on offer; the result promises nothing more than bragging rights for the winner. Nevertheless, the loser appears hopelessly adrift, whereas the other seems to have found its footing after a couple of years of struggle – perhaps a hint at bigger things to come?
