[censored] abysmal. How long must we wait to support an average team, let alone a good one?

Disgusting...

I think the question of who was missing their puppy has been answered.

That was easily the softest physical display by any team this year...and possibly other than some of our own performances it may have been one of the softest across the league for the last 5 years.

Beaten physically and no f*&ks given. Multiple players $hat themselves at the physical contact and flicked the ball away. An absolutely disgusting performance by every single player who took the field tonight.

Very, very good.

'gutted' and 'ashamed' are the first polite words that come to my mind.

Dogs breakfast. Nobody had a half decent game. After some good signs, that hurts big time.

I can feel that numb, dead feeling circa Neeld era starting to wash over me.

I just don’t care anymore.

Hot garbage.

Even if the boys were tired.

And that's a big IF, because it's clear that the guys couldn't be arsed tonight, I just want to toy with the hypothetical.

Why the dumb football?

And the complete lack of heart?

And the lack of any semblance of a gameplan? (does fatigue affect the coach?).

We're channeling the 1970s when I was a (depressed) kid.

They're confused and without a decent system.

It's a mess.

Lever, May, Lockhart, Sparrow, Trac.. the rest [censored] off!!

Wasn't it though? Effectively a ten goal win.  Put them away early and didn't give them a sniff. Feel for the Melbourne boys though. They were inept.

Are they going to blame the 4 day break?

This was line in the sand stuff

Almost threw up every time I heard it. They had a 5 day break and a cross country trip.

Only positive I can come up with is that I got some good stats from Boak & Wines in my Ultimate Footy side....

Laziness is the key thing I take from today's game. Goodwin should be giving the whole squad a massive rocket for just being plain lazy from the first bounce. Petracca seemed to be trying but couldn't get anything to work. Sparrow had a go, Lockhart tried. Hibberd and Lever seemed to be trying but were caught out too often. Pickett and Jackson excused for their inexoerience. The rest of them can get [censored].

I truly wish I never got into footy as a youngster, I really could’ve done without the misery this club has put me through over the years

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
