Just Great. FFS Can’t these players read and understand situations??

You mean like isolating for 14 days, oh no, it didn't actually say that did it

Never made a mistake in your life right Mr Infallible

Kozzy and Spargo just learnt a lesson the hard way

Breach???
16 Crows players all breached the rules as well as the coaches. Their excuse? None, “we got it wrong”.  And their punishment?? Be more careful next time.  It’s ridiculous

Hahaha this..

You know Vic bias and all.. ?‍♂️

GO AWAY.

Your answers are the same, regardless of what people leave on here

Players would have been given strict guidelines to adhere to

Don’t Visit Friends  That is it...

Not difficult is it?

It has nothing to do with me

BUT DON’T YOU GO ANYWHERE NEAR THEM....

Aside from covid issues, I hope the fags were just curiosity or temporary lapse. I bought a pack for the first time in 5 years last night after too many beers. Had a few predictably digusting puffs and then through the packet in the bin. Bloody waste of money.

Spargo being a regular smoker might explain why he doesn't have the energy to kick it 30m!

Sorry mate, I thought it would be obvious that I was taking the pi$$....although his growth appears to have been stunted doesn’t it.

Having said that, I’m glad you made that decision. A wise one indeed...

Smoking is now solely the domain of the super-wealthy.

Which is Fantastic. However if you're in a European country where it's unfortunately dirt cheap, the smoking is ubiquitous and just dirty to have to walk through!

Gotta hand it to Spargo.

Puts in a round 1 performance at a level not seen since Isaac Weetra circa 2008.

Then coerced our premier albeit young small forward into attending a house party via an Uber during pandemic -  hence robbing us a key piece of the puzzle in somehow jagging our first win in 11 months.

I don’t think we’ll be seeing young Charles for a number of weeks.

So you're saying multimillion dollar industries are somehow more important than me when it comes to making laws to protect the citizens from Covid 19!

Absolutely true.

Just as long as you've put it on the record...

We'll have to call him 009 if he's conspiring to undermine and usurp Kozi for his position. ?

I would put Lockhart or Sparrow in as replacement.

Unfortunately you’re not a multimillion $$$ industry/game (lol) supporting thousands of people ww.

So it follows that Rio Tinto's detonation of ancient caves is acceptable because they're a multimillion $$$ industry and the laws that protect them are not to be confused with the laws that protect individuals from desecration of their spiritual sites.

Rather live with all these dirty European smokers than in the nanny state Australia has become ?

Pickett should serve another club week’s suspension in the practice match format, teach him from a young age not following proper AFL protocol is unacceptable.

Agreed Vt.  He should wait now.

Is the whole Geelong team going to be suspended because the they broke social distances rules after their first two goals against the Hawks tonight?

It has to be done. Given no social distancing at training or games is possible, all it takes is one positive test to shut down the entire competition.

Say Pickett gets infected by the friend he visited. He tests positive and therefore everyone at the club and the opposition side we played have to be tested and quarantine. That means two teams at a minimum are out of the competition for up to two weeks, which means virtually the entire AFL has to close for two weeks. It’s a disastrous situation and I agree with the AFL’s hard line.

The outrage on here from my fellow Dees supporters is outrageous. The protocols have been put in place to keep all of us safe for all of society’s good, and we have hugely benefited from this having one of the lowest infection rates in the world.

This goes way beyond our parochial AFL interests, this is for the benefit of our whole society and we should be all immensely grateful that our governments have stepped up to the mark in a way the governments of the US and UK have not.

The self interest of our football team is minuscule by comparison, but we should all be proud that our club has done the responsible thing and self reported, in spite of several moronic comments on here along the lines “here we go again the MFC being insipid compared to the hard heads of the competition”.

Social media is so incredibly stupid sometimes. Our supporters should be proud of our values, but sadly some are not.

What a mess, a really young team selected (which is a risk) and then players being silly can derail all the work the coaching staff have put into the planning for the first game.

I’m even madder now that because of Kosi’s stupidity I now have to watch ANB stink it up. Bloody hell!

They are paid a huge salary that we contribute to so follow the simple f k n rules that have been put in place for you to continue to work.

The worst part is when we lose, by a goal when ANB misses a set shot after the siren everyone will blame Kossi.

I understand but i think it’s ridiculous.

The players aren’t even allowed to take their kids to the park.

Many people throwing barbs when I dare say most would have been the first to whinge about being in isolation

  • REPORT: Geelong

I was disappointed to hear Goody say at his post match presser after the team’s 39 point defeat against Geelong that "we're getting high quality entry, just poor execution" because Melbourne’s problems extend far beyond that after its 0 - 4 start to the 2025 football season. There are clearly problems with poor execution, some of which were evident well before the current season and were in play when the Demons met the Cats in early May last year and beat them in a near top-of-the-table clash that saw both sides sitting comfortably in the top four after round eight. Since that game, the Demons’ performances have been positively Third World with only five wins in 19 games with a no longer majestic midfield and a dysfunctional forward line that has become too easy for opposing coaches to counter. This is an area of their game that is currently being played out as if they were all completely panic-stricken.

  • PREGAME: Essendon

Facing the very real and daunting prospect of starting the season with five straight losses, the Demons head to South Australia for the annual Gather Round, where they’ll take on the Bombers in search of their first win of the year. Who comes in, and who comes out?

  • NON-MFC: Round 04

Round 4 kicks off with a blockbuster on Thursday night as traditional rivals Collingwood and Carlton clash at the MCG, with the Magpies looking to assert themselves as early-season contenders and the Blues seeking their first win of the season. Saturday opens with Gold Coast hosting Adelaide, a key test for the Suns as they aim to back up their big win last week, while the Crows will be looking to keep their perfect record intact. Reigning wooden spooners Richmond have the daunting task of facing reigning premiers Brisbane at the ‘G and the Lions will be eager to reaffirm their premiership credentials after a patchy start. Saturday night sees North Melbourne take on Sydney at Marvel Stadium, with the Swans looking to build on their first win of the season last week against a rebuilding Roos outfit. Sunday’s action begins with GWS hosting West Coast at ENGIE Stadium, a game that could get ugly very early for the visitors. Port Adelaide vs St Kilda at Adelaide Oval looms as a interesting clash, with both clubs form being very hard to read. The round wraps up with Fremantle taking on the Western Bulldogs at Optus Stadium in what could be a fierce contest between two sides with top-eight ambitions. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons besides us winning?

  • POSTGAME: Geelong

The Demons have slumped to their worst start to a season since 2012, falling to 0–4 after a more spirited showing against the Cats at Kardinia Park. Despite the improved effort, they went down by 39 points, and the road ahead is looking increasingly grim.
