Glorious hair. Hope he doesn’t lose a bet and is forced to shave it off.

I don't think it matters a great deal, but he comes across as a really good bloke in that video.

I have had a question over his ball use (even referred to him as a butcher in the past), but I'm looking forward to seeing how he plays for us.

I hope that with another pre season under his belt and more kms in the legs, he'll be less impacted by lactic acid induced by gut running, and as a result improve his ball use.

Bit of a question mark over his decision making. Said he was keen to play footy at one of the big Melbourne Clubs but went onto choose us.

Seems like a pretty unqiue bloke  and not your average footy bloke. I reckon him and Gawny should get along pretty well.

Seems a ripper bloke, but there will be now questions over him from Demonland regarding his photography. We all know what happened to the last photographer we had. ;)

yeah nah means no

nah yeah means yes

Stanley the Alves, wore No.15 with pride and was the complete wingman. Good choice for Langdon. (Stan also had the best blind turn and run-around balk - at top speeds - than anyone I have ever seen on the footy field. No sheet!)

Robbie’s for me

This conversation hasn’t been very helpful in letting us get to know our sponsored player. Yes, DeeArmy is sponsoring a player this season so if you see us pushing the fundraising button you may know why!

At the moment we’re in the dark. We want to know more about our boy. What are his strengths and where do you think he’ll fit into our team?

I don't know anything about him as a bloke, though from the handful of interviews i've seen seems a pretty bright young man

But as player he will be super important for us and will make an immediate impact for the club

A best 22 lock who will play the wing in every game and play a key role linking the back and front halves.

Super fit and whilst his offensive transition will get lots of deserved attention his defensive running might well make even more of an  impact as even when we had most of our players fit and firing in 2018 defensive running was not a strength.

Another important factor is his recruitment (and Tomlinsons) means we won't need to play players like Brayshaw on the wing who are better utilised elsewhere.

And to top off the package, by all accounts seems a dedicated and professional AFL player who trains hard and looks after himself.

A really terrific recruitment decision by both the MFC and the Demon Army. Well played.

I reckon he will be a favourite player by around, say, round 6.

That said, no one can compete for my 6 year old’s son’s affection - it was initially Bernie Vince and now it is the Trac.

He is the youngest ever member of this club. Signed him up as a 20 week foetus, and the club accepted his application. Not necessarily fraudulent, but plainly desperate. It was during the Neeld years, They were desperate at the time, and I took advantage of it.

I’m super proud of this fact. It’s almost worthy of a documentary (even though it’d probably be really boring).

God bless us all, eh.

We’re top 4 this year.

My daughter who turns 16 in July is a 17 consecutive year member - does that compete?

they do a lot more ultrasounds in Singapore where she was made!

Now that is very impressive spalding!

Predicting top 5 in our BnF next year. I really like him as a player and reckon he’s still underrated in the wider afl community. On output he’s very very similar to Brad Hill, but doesn’t get spoken about in the same way. The fact he’s still young and we got him for a second rounder will prove to be a big drafting success story for us. He’s going to own the MCG wing for years to come!

Different players of course. And different stages of their respective careers. But Langdon's recruitment reminds me of bringing in Steven icke. Icke filled a need and was a super consistent and reliable player for us. Bit undeunderrated too.

Impressive.

There's here-say that one member was even signed up 'pre wink'...however that may just be urban legend.

Nope - can’t claim that!

I signed her up for a family membership in feb2004 and added Emily with a birthday of ? July 2004 -Even though  my wife was only 4 months or so pregnant  with her.
we had 4 kids in 5 years so I think I called her sex from the scan before the gyno did as I had seen so many of them in Singapore! .

shes a rusted on demon and says one of her life goals is to be the oldest demon member with the longest record of continuous membership:

god I hope she doesn’t have to wait as long as I do for a premiership ( 53 years and counting).

No problem we are going to win three flags this decade. 2021, 2023 and 2027.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
