Speaking to a Richmond supporter 'mate' of mine today - believes we'd be lucky to get one Friday night match aside from our primetime ANZAC event.

So, nearest to the pin Demonland

Are there any optimists (3 Friday nights plus)?

Personally, I think we will get 1 (and a lot of sunday arvo's).

Yep ? Anzac +1 for me

It takes too long to get served at The Tippler on a Friday after work anyway.

The coincidental one against Richmond then zero. If we do jag one, it will be as the away team.

Hello Sunday twilight graveyard shift to be shared with North, Saints (with a few cameos from the Dogs) and interstate teams.

1 and that will be the ANZAC eve game. There is not a hope in the world we will get any more. What can we expect. Maybe a Thursday night and a couple Saturday nights i imagine. Personally i would rather Saturday night games anyway.

Going with 8. Starting with a round 1 Friday night blockbuster against the Suns at the G.

☝️That aged well

I think we'll get one more, but it won't be our home game. Maybe against the pies, bombers, or blues.

Thursday night games are almost as good as Friday nights for PR and sponsors as they are stand-alone FTA.  Hopefully if we don't get Friday nights we get a few Thursdays.

Thinking 0 other Friday nights and one ho-hum Thursday night late June game against Port over there.

Feels about right @Bring-Back-Powell

Zero Friday games aside from Anzac. Tigers, Pies, Dogs, St Kilda even will do better

I'll go with two.  The ANZAC Eve game and then one against a random opponent late in the season.

I think I was closest to the pin.

We've done well to get three Friday night games, even if two are away games.  Richmond, Brisbane and Hawthorn are good opponents to have in those games.

Yep, Bravo! I'll send a frozen meat tray your way...well, maybe not in this heat.

I dunno, I even made the bold prediction it would be against one of the Bombers, Blues or Pies! ?

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
