We might as well not turn up next year if we don't add a pressure element to our forward line eg. pressure small forwards.

Also a massive upgrade on our execution by foot.

Melbourne would be more competitive than GWS today.

What a shitshow this is turning out to be.

They're playing like us. Over handballing and bombing it in forward.

We wouldn't have even bothered with his history, our club doesn't take risks.

Trivia of the day - even before his first disposal just now, Finlay was doing better than Mumford for meters gained.

Finlayson had zero disposals for 5 meters gained. Curious.

Mumford has not only metaphorically but literally taken his team backwards  today.

You wont see the so called "fans" on the bandwagon again. This will turn them off from the sport.

Hope GWS are going to review the game.

If you get cornered by any Tigres supporters, just tell em that was the most boring Grand Final ever.........then tell em again when they start whinging.......

We do not have the guts or the culture to recruit the likes of Pickett. Gotta have the right kinda wholesome chap you know.

Every one of Pickett’s disposals has oozed poise and class, extraordinary.

My mate coaches a team over here and Pickett plays for an opposition team. Before the mid-season draft he told me he thought we should pick him up. Apparently we were interested but it obviously didn’t go any further than that. I’m going to change my attitude and suggest we roll the dice, the clean-cut silver spoon private school-boys aren’t cutting the mustard.

The WAFL is a gold mine for indigenous talent.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
