This should be a reminder to those supporters who claimed "it's onlyyyy one bad year".

Every year is an opportunity missed not only to challenge for a flag, but to attract quality, to keep players happy, coaches happy, supporters on board and finance in order.

It's a snowball effect and if we have indeed missed out on him it's a big loss.

Anyway...for Browne to say we’ve resigned ourselves to not getting Elliott it sounds to me like he’s spoken to someone at the club. Or maybe he’s just talking out his [censored]? Who knows, we’ll know soon enough I suppose.

One door closes and another one opens. If Elliott chooses Brisbane or stays at Collingwood, it means that we can use the salary cap room that would otherwise have been available for him to chase other fish. I’m not fussed - it’s the nature of this time of year.

Elliott's brother lives there and saw somewhere they are going on holidays together. Maybe just a visit to hear what the Lions are offering?

He’s heading off on a vacation today or tomorrow so it makes complete sense to go and see their facilities before he goes away.
