O Mac to Lynch? Or Omac to Riewoldt?

that is absolutely terrifying ?‍♂️

My Goodness! OMac in again? Heaven help us.

All the Demon backs will have to cover for him against Richmond just to fill the OMac gap (and simultaneously be caught, repeatedly, out of position many, many times - prepare ye the way of the rampant Tiger forwards. Goodwin could not have done better for those opportunistic runners.

We know where the attack will be directed: at OMac wherever he may be. He is as good as two men missing for most of the game and into the last quarter, three or four more men missing as our other backs display total exhaustion from  the now-required double-teaming for three quarters. Frosty and HIbberd will bear the brunt of it all and Salem will be shagged by half-time.

Oscar -v- Riewoldt/Lynch. Pray for very heavy rain all day Saturday.

Pray for a game-ending earthquake at quarter time!

Guarantee the sponsor prize Jag ends up in a Richmond supporters hand to cap off the spanking and show the absurdity that our sponsor will give the major prize to anyone who turns up rather than the cash paying members or the sponsor clubs own supporters!!

Am I the only one thinking this will be the mirror image of the last time we met? Like all of our double up matches where we don't really learn a thing and repeat the same mistakes, however much captain crash n bash would like to talk about how we're learning from the year  (SEN today)

We'll shut up shop, flood back all game with no one to kick to forward and avoid a massive embarrassing prime-time loss as the Tigers keep a 12-24 point margin for most of the game, before kicking away in the last quarter after we "excitedly" get to within 1 goal. We'll of course never really have been in the contest.

May still unfit. OMac another game by default. Tim Smith out injured again. What a f’ing joke.

I don't care how old they are, but we need to recruit a senior KPF next year, even if they're depth. If by miracle, we're contending next year but Weid or Tmac get injured, we can't rely on T. Smith to play more than 1 or 2 games in a row. There goes any forward line chemistry and we're back to being scored ridiculously easily on the forward half turnover.

Anyone that wouldn't take Jenkins or even Westhoff for a couple of years over having T. Smith and Keilty alone in reserve is absolutely kidding themselves.

On  last week's form Hore should definitely be in & Omac out. WTF? Our coach is hell bent on finishing bottom.

tanking

All going to depend on what gear the Tuggers want to get out of.

Potential for a an absolute drubbing.

One of the worst teams I’ve ever seen, 10 vfl players, absolute hammering coming up.

I don’t mind this team

I like the ins

ANB OUT...who would have predicted that? (Err...everyone for the last 3 months).

Shame May doesnt get up, but looking after him for the longer term comes first.

We have so much to improve to just be competitive.  Everyone will expect us to get spanked.  Set up and play faux-tough, and then get absolutely pantsed on the turnover.  It is a struggle to see how we will kick a competitive score, and even harder to see how we stop them.  OMac just doesnt man up, Frost doesnt think when he disposes of it. No Nev, Hibbard looks at half pace.

Im glad they sell beer.

I stopped caring a long time ago, but surely Hore should have come in for McDonald allowing Lever to go to Lynch or Riewoldt.

Did we really give up two first round draft picks for a back pocket?

Lever will help us win a premiership

Stop selling him so short

He’s a beauty

JKH ?

Happy for him, works his @ss off and achieve his maximum capability

Also great guy, awesome with the kids on clinic day a few weeks ago

Maybe it's a swansong, if so then so be it, hope he gets 20 possession and 10 Tackles and shows a few up

Would have been better rolling Petty back and throwing Omac out

And how come Hore isn’t playing? The selectors are morons.

Indictment on the club OMac gets another game after his shocker last week. Bartlett promised action ... Well Glen

Can I give you a hint.. Coaching and Selections are mystifying, to say the least, Yeah I know injuries and all, but for one of our "Finds" in Hore, to miss again and Oscar to be given yet another game is almost negligent. As a member, Im not happy with this!! Agree with post Petty back and u know who out.

Not happy, but not unexpected!!

Will be interesting to see given the season we have had if Jag re-sign as their existing sponsorship was only for one yr.

btw I think the tigers will be after a % booster this week.

I’m going simply because I feel like the $72,000 I spent on memberships this year has been a total waste of money. With 2 home games left before I bugger off, I’ll go to try and win the Jag so at least something can be salvaged from this season.

We will get smashed. This is an ugly ugly team.

  • PREVIEW: Richmond

A few years ago, the Melbourne Football Club produced a documentary about the decade in which it rose from its dystopic purgatory of regular thrashings to the euphoria of a premiership victory. That entire period could have been compressed in a fast motion version of the 2025 season to date as the Demons went from embarrassing basket case to glorious winner in an unexpected victory over the Dockers last Saturday. They transformed in a single week from a team that put in a pedestrian effort of predictably kicking the ball long down the line into attack that made a very ordinary Bombers outfit look like worldbeaters into a slick, fast moving side with urgency and a willingness to handball and create play with shorter kicks and by changing angles to generate an element of chaos that yielded six goals in each of the opening quarters against Freo.

  • NON-MFC: Round 07

Round 7 gets underway in iconic fashion with the traditional ANZAC Day blockbuster. The high-flying Magpies will be looking to solidify their spot atop the ladder, while the Bombers are desperate for a win to stay in touch with the top eight. Later that evening, Fremantle will be out to redeem themselves after a disappointing loss to the Demons, facing a hungry Adelaide side with eyes firmly set on breaking into the top four. Saturday serves up a triple-header of footy action. The Lions will be looking to consolidate their Top 2 spot as they head to Marvel Stadium to clash with the Saints. Over in Adelaide, Port Adelaide will be strong favourites at home against a struggling North Melbourne. The day wraps up with a fiery encounter in Canberra, where the Giants and Bulldogs renew their bitter rivalry. Sunday’s schedule kicks off with the Suns aiming to bounce back from their shock defeat to Richmond, taking on the out of form Swans. Then the Blues will be out to claim a major scalp when they battle the Cats at the MCG. The round finishes with a less-than-thrilling affair between Hawthorn and West Coast at Marvel. Who are you tipping and what are the best results for the Demons?

  • REPORT: Fremantle

For this year’s Easter Saturday game at the MCG, Simon Goodwin and his Demons wound the clock back a few years to wipe out the horrible memories of last season’s twin thrashings at the hands of the Dockers. And it was about time! Melbourne’s indomitable skipper Max Gawn put in a mammoth performance in shutting out his immediate opponent Sean Darcy in the ruck and around the ground and was a colossus at the end when the game was there to be won or lost. It was won by 16.11.107 to 14.13.97. There was the battery-charged Easter Bunny in Kysaiah Pickett running anyone wearing purple ragged, whether at midfield stoppages or around the big sticks. He finish with a five goal haul.

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.

The Dees are back at the MCG on Thursday for the annual blockbuster ANZAC Eve game against the Tigers. Can the Demons win back to back games for the first time since Rounds 17 & 18 last season? Who comes in and who goes out?
