those two tackles at the end,

my goodness

That first tackle was holding the ball - the Freo player had prior opportunity.

Loved his tackling all day and his bad [censored] attitude gave every person he tackled a little push shove and rough up great to see.

I don't like the carry on afterwards that players do these days. Bit of a cheap shot and disrespectful.

Hmm i don't like the cheap shots that you speak of, but if a good tackle is laid, no harm in getting under their skin and letting them know.   Kossie does it well.   Guys like VDB and Lynch not so much.

I don't like it when other players get in to pat them on the head etc when they were not even involved in the play.   It is all part of the game though, with bunch of alphas trying to prove they are superior and maybe putting someone off their game.

Happens in every sport, at every level of it, women and males alike.

as amazing as those two tackles were.. i am surprised not more AFL players smash and drive players like this. i grew up watching league and it just seems like the mindset is a lot different. with the threat of actually being hurt/sore from a tackle, teams would be much less confident leaving their D50 with players like Pickett around. but there should be MORE OF IT!!!

In my day didn't have to bother doing stuff after the play, the bloody umpire (sing) used to allow anything except fist throwing melees involving more than a few players, so you didn't have to bother about the rag doll [censored] footing...

Many of us die-hard Dees believe that we could have struck gold with Kozzie.  Wouldn't it be amazing if he announced his 'arrival' to the wider football community against the Saints on Saturday night?  Against Freo he looked to me to be primed and ready to go.  Just a gut feeling that tomorrow night he might take centre stage.

Ah, for sure. Guess my thoughts are that you can play hard and show you mean business without the carry on afterwards.

Lovely to see the forward pressure from our two smalls, but bloody hell this kid has some rare skills.

Will tear a game to pieces before too long and all of the young supporters will understand how it felt to have Jeff Farmer running around the forward 50.

Great excitement brought by Kozzy tonight but if anyone who never saw Jeff Farmer play, just look at Liam Ryan, he reminds me of Jeff every time i watch him, he's the exact same player and my favorite from any other club. Dynamite.

Jeez he looks the goods, I don’t like to go prematurely on calling player but he could well be a star in the making for us. Just needs to have a touch more composure, could’ve (should’ve) had 2 more today.

Wow.  Kozzzzzzzy is so exciting.  Just needs to land a few goals that were gettable and back himself.  He could kick 5 or 6 one night very soon.
His goal in the 2nd quarter should be goal of the week imv

Check out the praise Kozzie is getting.    Kane says hes the closest we have seen to Cyril Rioli.. I believe Jordan lewis said the exact same thing.

We've had some dead-set ripping indigenous small forwards in my time supporting the club (Jeff Farmer, Aaron Davey, Jeff Garlett). After watching Kozzie on the weekend,  I think we've got another beauty on our hands.

He will be all the better for a regular cache of games this year, and a more consistent schedule. Give him a couple more years then look out!

We need to look at this kid as a second round pick up. Exactly what we need

Kysaiah Kropinyeri Pickett WWT Eagles/South Australia | Small Forward
02/06/2001 | 170cm | 68kg

Arguably the most naturally gifted player in the draft, the nephew of Port Adelaide and North Melbourne premiership player Byron, is small in stature but big on X-factor and his ability to do the impossible. He is clean at ground level, has high-level goal sense, and despite being so lightly built, was able to force his way into the Woodville-West Torrens League side courtesy of a massive six-goal game against North Adelaide in the first round of the SANFL Reserves competition. Adds an extra dimension to the South Australian forward line and will be one that could light up the big stage over the next month.

Have to give Oliisik his props here.

Thank you Kozzie for all the excitement and hope you have bought to me over the last week.

Because of you I will drive 3 hours this weekend.to watch you create havoc for gws.

I wonder how you will be with  brown isolated up fwd?????????

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
