Is Barry Prendergast posting here, maybe under several names.

There are some weird [censored] drafting theories getting bandied around.

It sounds like the bloke we took in the second round two years ago, and how's that working out? I know he's a much different player to Spargo, but the stats don't lie. If we are desperate for a small forward I'm sure we can find one at 28.

Maybe Spargo is your answer and u can't see it at 28 or 31 after bids

not fast enough not physical enough  not enough goal sense No X factor

We could recruit 3 Spargos and not hit the jackpot

This  is the money shotat 10/11 or whatever snd I think our small man forward  barren results snd slow development ate worth the risk of a diamond.

Go Forth JT X factor Kozzie welcome  to the Dees!!

If nothing else Jackson Kozzie and Harley should now be the "Entertainers".

Long May they live (decade at least ) !!!

Having  said Charlie (Spargo) is not up to it yet I am bullish about 2020 for him.

put on poundage bulk and is stronger in the body and could have even gained pace!

Year of  surprises Weid Charlie Pruess Picks 3 and 11 plus Harley and Oscar Yes Oscar more bulk etc are all ready to blossom as are the 2017 draftees.

Depth is not a dirty word !!!

Pickett won't go at 10, if Geelong's player gets down to 10 we will swap picks and take Pickett and best available. If Geelong miss their guy we take best available.

End thread.

I do wonder if we can coax someone into a swap like that so we get two inside 10-20 as opposed to 10 and 28.

I've read somewhere that, if the Crows pass on McAsey, it might open up those opportunities more when the picks come around to us.

While I'm more than happy with Pickett, I still think there is plenty to play out before we draft him.

That's what I am reading as well. They won't commit incase their player is gone.

I can't recall Cyril's under 18s year all that well. I do remember I think in one of the under 18s championships games he kicked 7 goals playing as a midfielder/ half forward. I think that game really skyrocketed his credentials in a big way.

He was a freak. Tore it up for Scotch a few times.

I am more comfortable with Pickett being selected by as at pick 10 than I am with taking Luke Jackson at pick 3.

I look forward to seeing what this kid brings. I still think he went a bit early for what I’ve seen but I’m not unhappy to get him.
loved the confidence.

X-factor, goal sense, loves smashing blokes and can turn games in minutes.

Massive reach?  You need to reach for the tissues.

This bloke will win games off his own boot.

Massive reach, hed better be bloody good since weve given up a likely top 4 pick for him.

Agree it is quite a reach, a pity we weren't able to trade down for a couple of picks that probably would've got Pickett along with another kid.

Both picks are a bit of a reach, imo (Pickett in particular). Part of me is saying "JT better be right", another part of me is thinking that he has reached for them for a reason = must really like what he sees in them.

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
