  • Demonland changed the title to CASEY: Rd 10 vs Collingwood VFL

Weid not named on the Melbourne website. Oversight? Also so good to see so many players back. 14-15 will play!

Also where is Oscar McDonald?

Maynard didn’t get up.

Its starting to look like a fitter list again. A little too late, but nice to see.

Weid on bench.

Good to see Bradtke get a game.

Omac not sighted.  Like Darwin.

What's with the funky numbers there? JKH #1?

I just don't understand why they don't play this game at Olympic park on Monday.

Start it at say 11:30am (yes I know that's early) and the game finishes at 2pm. Plenty of time for people to watch the vfl game and get to their seats at the g for the pre game palaver.

You would get a huge crowd for it and the atmosphere would be fantastic. A footy festival.

No gate receipts for Casey?

Well push for our home base at Gosch's Paddock...  and develop that site.   Easy access by train for Mfc supporters, and Casey region supporters.

...  and can get to the  'G'  in a leisurely 15-Min walk.

Omcd rested?  Desperately needs the show something at Casey.  I’m still in the potential delistee camp !!

He is still contracted until the end 2020. I don't think we will pay him out.

Looking forward to sitting on the Berwick Hill tomorrow and enjoying a bacon and egg roll (provided they are not sold out pre game like last time!!).

Is Bradtke really playing ??

Well not dissimilar to Spargo who was dropped, didnt play at Casey then found himself back in the ones !!

Expect Oscar to play ones next week!! Nothing surer!!?

Omac wont play VFL as they have fiven Lever right until the last minute. Oscar is the carry over emergency and wont play VFL

Did you check for him in the Casey reserves side ?

Curious, why wouldn’t they list OMac as one of the four emergencies for Monday if that’s the case?

Hi

can someone explain what's happening with the Casey numbers?

Are the numbers listed in the OP those that will be worn tomorrow?

Many thanks

Well that definitely changed over night. Very interesting indeed

16 Dees listed players in vfl this week. Better signs.  Unsure why Omcd not listed to play.

Missing- Melksham. Jetta. Vdberg. Jsmith. Maynard (sparrow. Neitschke, Walker)

What, like last time he played at Casey:

"Defender Oscar McDonald did his chances of a recall to the senior side no harm with a strong showing for the Demons in their one-point loss to Richmond at Casey Fields. McDonald picked up a team-high 22 disposals ..."

Rest? Mystery injury?

A bit unusual we didn’t get a report on the MFC website about Friday’s training session. I believe they trained at Casey, probably a closed session.

The telecast starts on Ch7 in 20 minutes.

Crowd wise like a Collingwood home game

Very uncomfortable on the Berwick hill where there is generally only around twenty people

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
