Sounds like NT crowd don’t want us their with the way they boo’ed Weeds. We should leave them with nothing, [censored] the crowd.

Agrees - bad kicking is bad football and we should have kicked 20 goals tonight. However Oscar had provided a service but its time to move on. If he is in the side next week then we are tanking.

A service????? Apart from Spargo , Oscar is the worst MFC Player to ever pull on a jumper!

Please a kicking coach

sports psychologist ?

send Ray Donovan in to put the frighteners on omac and Garlett fmd

goodwin to give players massive cuddles

And so it goes on. We will probably show glimpses are the season goes on, just enough to lure us into 2020 but does anyone really believe the nucleus of this team will have ultimate success.

Just told the club we are not prepared to pay membership again until there is hope.  Serious this time,  cannot trust how this club is managed on and off the field.  How many times does a supporter want to watch Nathan Jones trudge off the field with his head down?  Endless years of misery and sides know they can always get us because we are a weak team that folds. 40 years, 40 damn years as a member.

I am coming to terms with the fact we will never be any good, a flag is all but a dream and will never be realised!

We need to get out of that fungus ridden, worm infested place Darwin. Leave it to the crocodiles.

Nothing to do with Darwin. Multiple chances to win that game. SO disappointing that those chances weren't taken. Set shots must become a priority at training. OR ELSE!

Petracca was solid tonight.

Went missing for too long. Was solid but not a great game just a good one. He hardly ever has great games and I would argue more less than good. I dont want to trade him but this club needs to consider every option for mine as last time I looked we were not far off winning the spoon.

Hes not beginner anymore and he has failed to set the game alight. He is a lso a lousy kick for goal. Just saying.

Get out of the deal gary pert. It is an embarrassment.

Just finished watching delayed.

I burst out into maniacal laughter after Weeds miss.

I’m genuinely questioning my sanity.

Weid missed, Gawn missed, smith missed, Jeffry dropped a sitter, spargo dropped a sitter. We choked completely again.

Can't blame NT should have been over at 3/4 time and counting point and money.

oscar was towelled by a complete Elmer Fudd. Frost did well on Walker but Jenkins killed OMac. Lynch starred, but at least he is a gun, Jenkins though wow that it is just awful. OMacshould be traded for anything available. I'd take a pack of samboy salt & Vinegar chips and samboy have been out of business 10 years+!!

LOL 2019 is the year that keeps on giving.

Glad there were much better signs, but we really cooked that last quarter! Tim Smith & Hunt missed the easiest of set shots.

Weid also but it shouldn't have got to that point.

Still pumped for next year. We will likely get a pick in the range of 4-7 which could net us another high end talent.

Go into next year with a full pre-season, softer draw, May & Lever back plus hopefully a few more high pressure forwards and we will rocket back into the top 4.

I’m so sick of looking forward to next season...

I'm not that depressed. I see a moon upon the horizon...

Weideman was decent today.  He should have had that last goal, but as others have said, he took the contested mark.  That's better than most of our list already.  If he plays like that for the rest of the season we'll be happy with his work.

Check out our record there.

I have to say this.  Garlett is weak as [censored].  For all his speed and skill, he tries to run past contests and do a magic slight of hand tap to knock the ball clear rather than putting his body in.  He misses goals because he's more worried about being tackled than taking an extra step to line the shot up.  He dropped multiple marks tonight because he was looking for who was coming at him rather than watching the ball into his hands.  I don't care how many scores he had, he doesn't do the basics right and he's afraid of contact.  He has to go.

Thank you. I have said that for weeks. The guy is scared sh-tless. Play him and you deserve to lose every week.

He must have been involved in at least 10 negative incidents tonight, any one of which if he had tried, we would have won.

I feel sorry for Weid because he should never have been in that position. He was nearly crying.

Jeffy couldn't give a flying f-ck.

Only get a second rounder for him, mid 20s

Oscar had a goal kicked on him in the most critical part of the game when he was laying a full tackle on Jenkins. Only Oscar

Jenkins is big unit but I am sure you would have brought him down. We lost it in front of our own goal.

Were that game played at the 'G though - we would have lost my 5-6 goals.

Just give it a week 'n you'll see what I mean.

I suggest we practice goal kicking form every angle this week. Fair dinkum again it cost us. also Jeffy how did you drop that sitter in the forward pocket? You are experienced enough to mark those.

This just sucks and we are only halfway through the year.

Poor kicking Poor football   not the last point it was a couple of the ones before

If by some miracle we win  11 more games   the flag will be ours to [censored] away   like this game  !!

  • REPORT: Port Adelaide

Of course, it’s not the backline, you might argue and you would probably be right. It’s the boot studder (do they still have them?), the midfield, the recruiting staff, the forward line, the kicking coach, the Board, the interchange bench, the supporters, the folk at Casey, the head coach and the club psychologist  It’s all of them and all of us for having expectations that were sufficiently high to have believed three weeks ago that a restoration of the Melbourne team to a position where we might still be in contention for a finals berth when the time for the midseason bye arrived. Now let’s look at what happened over the period of time since Melbourne overwhelmed the Sydney Swans at the MCG in late May when it kicked 8.2 to 5.3 in the final quarter (and that was after scoring 3.8 to two straight goals in the second term).

  • CASEY: Essendon

Casey’s unbeaten run was extended for at least another fortnight after the Demons overran a persistent Essendon line up by 29 points at ETU Stadium in Port Melbourne last night. After conceding the first goal of the evening, Casey went on a scoring spree from about ten minutes in, with five unanswered majors with its fleet of midsized runners headed by the much improved Paddy Cross who kicked two in quick succession and livewire Ricky Mentha who also kicked an early goal. Leading the charge was recruit of the year, Riley Bonner while Bailey Laurie continued his impressive vein of form. With Tom Campbell missing from the lineup, Will Verrall stepped up to the plate demonstrating his improvement under the veteran ruckman’s tutelage. The Demons were looking comfortable for much of the second quarter and held a 25-point lead until the Bombers struck back with two goals in the shadows of half time. On the other side of the main break their revival continued with first three goals of the half. Harry Sharp, who had been quiet scrambled in the Demons’ first score of the third term to bring the margin back to a single point at the 17 minute mark and the game became an arm-wrestle for the remainder of the quarter and into the final moments of the last.
