At least Weid took the contested mark. It was just lucky he marked it. It was a kick in hope from Wagner.

Games of football are made up of 1000s of moments, that miss didn’t cost us the game. It was all those other misses put together that cost us the game. Bad set shots on goal cost you games as so evident tonight.

Im so glad I’ll probably never see Oscar McDonald in a Melbourne jumper though. Can’t wait to welcome back May and Lever.

Also, oMac should have never been on Jenkins - Frost should have.

I feell that there was a giant lack of on field leadership  in the last quarter.

3 goals 12 in the last half and most of those misses were set shots !!! Says a bit about the confidence (or lack of) in the side. Their ballgetting was great tonight and the mpvement into the fwd line was vastly omproved UNTIL ......last Qtr and then we went home . Gutted.

Bloody hell we lead for 155 minutes of that game. We had 17 more inside 50's. WE kicked 1-8 in that final term. I was confident Weiderman would kick that, but it wasn't just his fault. Gawn had a chance, Hunt missed an easy one in the 3rd and bloody Jeffy misses set shots.

We let Betts off the leash in that last quarter, they kicked the last 5 of the game. Im sorry but Oscar was a liability tonight down back.

Ugh we should have banked those 4 points. That was worse then the WC game. Goodwin should give them a spray but he probably wont. That hurts.

thats not lose checking that zoning

I’m annoyed, we were outworked in the last quarter.

Reality is, our backline contains 2 half forwards and a midfielder. It was the difference tonight. Once they got entries, they scored!

Oscar continues his poor form

Yes. [censored] scared.

If he took the kick which he was drafted to kick it would have closed the gate.

Me too.

I know it's been mentioned before, but. The mcDonalds are horrendous ! Absolutely bloody useless ! And is there any chance of Frost being able show some coolness under fire . He plays like Forrest Gump.

I thought this was a home game for us. It seemed that most of the crowd were Crow fans

I’m just [censored] sick of it, they can go get rooted, if Goodwin makes excuses for them again??

Delist Oscar McDonald and Jeff Garlett now.

Oscar had 2 goals kicked on him, not a great game but really. We lost it up forward, set shots missed, Max, Hunt, Smith, Weid, then dropped chest marks, Jeffy, the list goes on. The Crows had half the opportunities but nailed most of them. If you can’t finish you can’t win, it is that simple.

Forget selling this home game to Darwin nonsense. The crowd was clearly heavily supporting the crows. Could have sworn on the telecast it was being played in Adelaide.

Becuase we keep losing them

What a pathetic club. I seriously have to question why I continually pay for 5 reserved seat memeberships for my family when this club clearly stands for nothing. Do we have a positive win loss ratio with any club???????????????

Trac was ok tonite. Not our worst. Had a nice 5 min patch in one qtr but I believe he is just an average player and wont get much better.

Harmes is awesome.

Spargo wasnt.....again.

The glaring issue was the two bookends in Omac and Tmac and how much we pay the.

Max take a bow.......again.

Hannan clearly not ready.

Stretch not good again.

Baker looks good.

Goody fails again due to poor kicking at goal.

I honestly think we need a mini rebuild, I'd trade Tracc, Weid, Fritsch, maybe even Brayshaw for some currency and delist Nate Jones, Lewis, OMac, Garlett, Among others. Play the kids for the rest of the year, what's the point of this season now?

LOL 2019 is the year that keeps on giving.

Glad there were much better signs, but we really cooked that last quarter! Tim Smith & Hunt missed the easiest of set shots.

Weid also but it shouldn't have got to that point.

Still pumped for next year. We will likely get a pick in the range of 4-7 which could net us another high end talent.

Go into next year with a full pre-season, softer draw, May & Lever back plus hopefully a few more high pressure forwards and we will rocket back into the top 4.

Like watching Norman v Faldo in the end. Livid.

Our foot skills need a royal inquest.

Stretch, JKH & Spargo types will not develop into adequate depth players. Thank God for Baker.

Weid did well but had so much ball coming at him.

Can we close down the 2020 thread. It will be no different.

My goodness this persistence with Oscar has to stop....he’s an absolute disaster.

Tom McDonald was bullied by Talia

Jeffy - shocking lapses of concentration

Spargo - Shell of a player compared to last year and passes accountability constantly

Goal Kicking - seriously is no-one coaching them on technique....so many players seem to change their routines and actions every shot.

Deesaster.

I have to say this.  Garlett is weak as [censored].  For all his speed and skill, he tries to run past contests and do a magic slight of hand tap to knock the ball clear rather than putting his body in.  He misses goals because he's more worried about being tackled than taking an extra step to line the shot up.  He dropped multiple marks tonight because he was looking for who was coming at him rather than watching the ball into his hands.  I don't care how many scores he had, he doesn't do the basics right and he's afraid of contact.  He has to go.

Definitely agree with you, he was incredibly soft.

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
