and do the same for the (ughh) afl logo

pfft, just get that cr@p off the jumper all together!

p.s. maybe replace it with another major sponsor!!!

Voted no to be different because the answer is so bloody obvious.

Sorry.

The prob with the rectangle is it makes it look amateurly just stuck on as a last resort.

The problem is the Blue is their Brand Colour, without the rectangle and just Zürich written in white, is not their Logo

Saw the following on Twitter and I must say I agree.

Would you like to see a cleaner logo on the jumper preserving the red yolk?

Problem would be solved and it would all look much better if both the AFL logo and the Zurich were moved down and out by 25mm or so into the predominantly navy blue area, but probably not permitted to do thay due to some petty marketing thing the AFL has going - just like the one where 'all' clubs need to have a predominantly white clash jumper.

P.S. now that my attention has been drawn to it, the NB up the top is pretty freaking anoying as well!

My god we are majoring in minors. Better start playing games people have too much think time.

Here are the new training guernseys without the blue background on the Zurich logo. Admittedly there is no red yolk on the jumper but it looks so much better.

That's a really cool jumper. Hope they sell it this year at the Demon Shop.

The logo looks much better without the background too.

this would make for a pretty decent 'clash' jumper if they made it in the 'colour tv-era blue' of the away guernsey

I'm happy with the current Royal Blue mirroring our regular jumper. I'm not sure Royal Blue would suit this training guernsey for some reason. Could someone with skills do a mock up. Looks great in the navy blue though.

I would however be perfectly happy to replace our regular jumper with this one in the extremely unlikely event that we were forced to change it at gunpoint.

Not 100% the correct blue, but gives you an idea?!

Every company has a "reverse" logo in their specifications for placement on a dark background.

The circle could be either their corporate blue with a white Z, or a white circle with a blue Z as in the training guernsey. There's no rectangle integral to the Zurich logo.

Just wear this bad boy. I love this jumper so much

All companies have guidelines on their logo. I work for a large multinational company and logo guidelines are very strict. I imagine that having two different colours behind the Zurich logo would be against company guidelines for using logo. Zurich is large global company that would need hq signoff for all use of logo. Unfortunately I can't see this changing

That was my understanding being a Global Company. I would have thought its use was only given under rock solid guidelines.

But i am not up with the latest specs. It’s just nice to be sponsored by real companies. Energy Watch was a long time ago...

  • CASEY: Essendon

Casey’s unbeaten run was extended for at least another fortnight after the Demons overran a persistent Essendon line up by 29 points at ETU Stadium in Port Melbourne last night. After conceding the first goal of the evening, Casey went on a scoring spree from about ten minutes in, with five unanswered majors with its fleet of midsized runners headed by the much improved Paddy Cross who kicked two in quick succession and livewire Ricky Mentha who also kicked an early goal. Leading the charge was recruit of the year, Riley Bonner while Bailey Laurie continued his impressive vein of form. With Tom Campbell missing from the lineup, Will Verrall stepped up to the plate demonstrating his improvement under the veteran ruckman’s tutelage. The Demons were looking comfortable for much of the second quarter and held a 25-point lead until the Bombers struck back with two goals in the shadows of half time. On the other side of the main break their revival continued with first three goals of the half. Harry Sharp, who had been quiet scrambled in the Demons’ first score of the third term to bring the margin back to a single point at the 17 minute mark and the game became an arm-wrestle for the remainder of the quarter and into the final moments of the last.
