It’s a little worrying. I’ll be keeping an eye on things I once training recommences. However I think his footwear causes issues at times. So perhaps he rarely wears that type of shoe. Hopefully all good.

There was another instagram story (maybe nibbler?) Of TMac using a resistance band on his Big toe, seemingly stretching and strengthening it. It seems like something he will be managing for a while

Saw that one- think it was on Petracca’s insta-story.  I thought it was interesting but not shocking or surprising as it could be ongoing maintenance for the toe.

There are dozens of photos and images from that wedding where TMac is in shiny, pointy brown shoes- can’t imagine him being allowed to wear them at all if there was an issue...

A couple of notable absentees from the group photo at Jacks wedding- Chunk Jones and Gus.

Why are they notable??

Chunk was actually invited but couldn't make it on the day.

Notable was probably a wrong choice of word. Just an observation. I thought those two would have been there.

If you knew how expensive weddings are, you too wouldn’t invite an entire footy club! The more I try planning mine the more I want to elope.

He probably only invited his bestest footy mates or the guys who’s partners are closest to his wife.

The Jones family were at another wedding.

Yes, but it's wot he wears at seasons end, when at  'ome...  that's the worry.

Saw something in the last week where tom was doing some odd big-toe-focused stretches in the gym.

Surely it has been an issue and they are just managing it. Wouldn’t say the sky is falling.

Or it's preventative action

I'll remain concerned and hopeful until I see him hit the track and can judge his condition for myself. Can't rely on the club to update us about key injuries when they occur

Cut it off and get a robot one i say

I saw Trac dressed up as Michael Jackson, complete with white glove.

Does this mean his dog has bitten him on the hand again, hence the white glove, to cover it up?  Or was he just being a completionist??  Someone help!!  I'm worried sick!!

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.

The Demons lacked some polish but showed a lot of heart and took it right up to the Bulldogs in an attempt to spoil their finals hopes ultimately going down by a goal at the MCG.
