Legend? Absolute champion, please! Great name to have, and well selected. I still have dreams about the accuracy of his clearances and his superb kicking to a teammate some 60 metres away....and his desire for the ball no matter what! Only the opposition 'stagers' got a kick off him - and that was gifted by some snot-gobbling umpire misreading the purity of his work ethic.

He was a pretty handy pinch hitter as a forward on his day too (mainly later in his career I seem to remember).  Probably struck a bit of Tony Lockett fear factor into anyone that got into his space, but was a dam good kick for goal as well and didn't waste many opertunities.

Any time a blast doesn't fire as intended, you dont accept blame yourself, you blame a faulty detonator.

I always thought you were a Clearance Diver or Ammunition tech for the Army. Those guy blow up bombs all day.

Had a few clearance divers work for me overseas in the Sollys.  Great blokes, but boy do they enjoy a beer.

We play with "bomb" almost every day. Sometimes firing over 1000 tonnes at a time.

The military guys are much more limited in their play time, due to funding.

Must have been a faulty det

One of my favourite bands is Demented Are Go!, a Welsh psychobilly band who started in the early 80s and are amazingly still going despite decades of debauchery.

Featuring demonic hits such as:

Satan’s rejects, House of Blood, Love seeps like a festering sore, Who put grandma under the stairs, Queen of disease, Brand new corpse, Cripple in the woods and Demon angel.

No brainer, really.

Plus the Thunderbirds reference in the band name, which I loved as a kid.

Still waiting for Jaded to respond and explain whether her real name is Jade with a surname starting with D or whether her user name is just a description about how she feels. Or both.

At the time I joined Demonland we were a joke on and off the field and if you didn't laugh you'd have to cry. Hence, a kind of comedy.

Note: I'm not a fan of users changing their names without explanation. In the spirit of full disclosure, I changed my name once - but only because I couldn't spell Comedia correctly.

During a heavy day with the lads at a pub early 2000's I was watching one of Troy Broadbridge's early awkward games and after a surprising piece of play yelled at the TV "go you big red fire engine". I followed him with curiosity during his early time at Sandy and across his 40 games for the MFC. I joined this site the year after his passing and it just felt right at the time as a reminder that there is so much more than football.

And Peter Walsh was the Little Red Fire Engine.

I am Big Kev because Stephen Tingay autographed one of my Demons Caps as To Big Kev, since then that cap has been signed by Robert Flower (RIP), Steven Armstrong and Nathan Jones.

A nice collection of No.2 greats signatures on thay hat Big Kev.  What an awsome bit of genuine supporter memorabilia.  These days the professional collector types etc would probably pay a mint for something that, but I'm tipping that to you it's a priceless keep sake you're not willing to part with for a price.

Correct, some of them are extremely hard to read now, but I know who signed it.

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had
