So Bell uses the term due diligence twice and says they are not going to try and get Hogan. If they make a play for him over the next 3 days then Freo are the biggest hypocrites going around.

I am actually hoping that it happens and Freo still miss out on Hogan. Crash and burn. Wonder who the new appointee will be?

Honestly, while I  don't want us to get screwed on the deal, what I  really don't want is for Fremantle to profit from their shenanigans. The thought that they might get 5 and 18 for Neale utterly disgusts me. That we might then take less than that for Hogan defies all logic. The only acceptable outcomes for me are that they back down and let the trades happen at fair value or they see their entire trade week collapse leaving them with nothing.

Pure and utter greed.

On SEN this morning Watson said that Freo don't want to make the same mistake they made with Bennell. Hmm interesting comment!!!!!!

That is very interesting. So here we have yet another football commentator, this time more respected than Langdon, Nixon and others, none too subtly alluding to ‘off field issues’ regarding Hogan.

No other reason for Watson to say that.

The way I took was not that, but more so taking on another injured player, also for a 1st and 2nd rounder.

Or they’re all just piggy backing off the original rumour and trying to look like they’re in the know.

All have history in doing exactly that.

Wait and see what happens by Wednesday. I’m getting jesse is wearing purple and May is a demon.

No disrespect but how on earth could you know the reason Watson said what he did. Unless of course your he.

Also you have not even said what you think his reason or motivation for spreading gossip is.

Strange.

No, you’re on the money Mondè.

Hogan will be at Melbourne for another 12 months. May won’t be coming.

Freo aren’t giving us pick 5 for Hogan even if they do send Neale to Brisbane.

All the trade permutations posters on here are rambling on with will be for nought.

In that case they should just say it is the injury rather than oblique references to 'due diligence' that sends the rumour mill into overdrive.

If Jessie has issues they can't be as bad as some AFL bad boys, two of whom won brownlows (Swan and Martin) in recent years.

If Freo have concerns but really backed their system they could team Jessie up with his good mate and Freo captain, Nat Fyfe.

Injury concerns or not, I just think Freo are being malevolent to all and sundry and Jessie is the target of most attention

Please Binman. Stop living in fantasyland. You think Watson brought Bennell up because of injury issues? Any player can get injured at anytime.

And ‘motivation’? Nothing except he’s a sports commentator and journalist making an assessment of a situation based on information he has at hand.

What, you think his ‘motivation’ is to tear down the Melbourne Football Club? Bit paranoid there mate.

I love it how if a rumour is restated and some posters (RR) don’t agree with it, they demand evidence, if other commentators touch on rumours that support their argument, it becomes fact. A bit like deciding a photo is proof of knowledge of a players intention.

Zero credibility...

Yet another post where you seem to misread other people's posts and later accuse them of not understanding yours.  In the Binman post you quoted he just asked you what the motivation you thought Watson had.  Instead you invent what motivation Binman might believe and then say he is paranoid if he believes that.   Calm down mate.

Look, nothing against Binman but I thought his post was rubbish and a waste of my time.

And you Sue keep recycling your wrong opinions.

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
