Have you even seen May play. He is an elite defender, with elite speed and is a better user of the ball than Frost, Oscar Mcdonald and Lever so he would be a massive upgrade. May plays for the worst team in the comp, where he has no support at all. He would thrive in a team like ours.

Well yes.  Too much unfortunately courtesy of a GC supporting friend, and this year had a special interest in May.  He  was not an elite ball user this year from what I saw and turns it over a lot. Champion data has him at almost 4 changers and turnovers a game, almost 25% of the time he gets it.  Not worth a high draft pick. There is not a defender even at Carlton at that level.

That was 2 weeks wasted.

Im not disappointed TBH. Hope Jesse comes back stronger for this in 2019.

"We need to stick to our guns - 2x first rounders or nothing"

Not sure if anyone has said this yet so I'm throwing it out there

If I was Freo I'd be doing the following:

Pick 11 & 23 to GWS for Lobb and pick 14

Neale & pick 49 to Brissy for Pick 5, 2019 2nd round & pick 41

Pick 5 & 14 to Melb for Hogan

We can then send 5 & 32 to GC for May and pick 24

A very good outcome for us (@#$% the rest lol )

You've missed your calling ;)

So what does Jesse think about going to Freo now? Would he go next year?

Where was this sourced from?

Fremantle are bluffing.

Yep no doubt

Are you happy with that though. There's no way I can put up with Oscar Mcdonald for another season. Especially with teams like richmond having lynch and riewoldt.

Rubbish comment Omac gets exposed at times due to poor pressure up the ground but reads it quite well and wins a lot of 1 on 1's his disposal is also good. People seem to remeber 2 years ago Omac not the player we have now.

Well that was a waste of time.

Thanks Freo. Hope you enjoy bottom four next year.

Idiots. Obviously content to be mired in mediocrity for many years to come.

Myself, very content for us to move on and for Jesse to help us win a flag in 2019.

FReo are idiots

Positive is Jesse wont go back to Perth unless West Coast want him next year.

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
