How many free kicks have the Eagles had inside 50 directly in front of goal? At least 7? Not saying it's the reason we're losing but the umpiring is farcical.

That chase from Jones and Lewis was putrid too.

Eagles .. 3 inside 50's this quarter = 3 goals

Hell we're back where we were at the start of this season !!

Just bench Lewis for the game.

Retire -get out of my sight you hack.

Jordan Lewis has been horrific. Costly, classless. A spent force.

LeCras loose inside 50. Great effort guys! He's not dangerous at all. ?

0 tackles by captain Jones in a preliminary final.

Most have been there though Fang.

i’m more Pi$$ed at the efforts of Lewis a so called leader.

lol Petracca decides to kick to a contest in the goal square when he could've just kicked for goal, after we haven't taken a mark inside 50 all game. Mindboggling stuff.

Sums up the day’s play.

Started early when we had passed all the time when the game was to be won.

Even the bounce is against us.

Lewis has to retire after this. He must put his head on the chopping block voluntarily, as act of atonement. He has a leadership role, yet played like a young fool. Enough.

The stars are just not aligning for us.

Yep Trac needs to really pull his finger out and fully commit to this coming preseason

The aftermath of today will be crucial. The Club has to be tough on this. This preformance cannot be repeated.

We know what happens when it does

Everything gone their way. Every bounce. Every crucial kick.

It is not our day but I hope we keep playing til the last minute because a destruction like this can really damage our future.

Ok, that Darling goal really does explain the day. Wow! Luck is a very powerful thing.

That Hannan bounce followed by the Darling bounce just shows today wasn't our day.

They need to understand, this may be our last chance for a while

Rubbish.

Geelong spanked the Pies in the 2009 Prelim by 90 points. Pies won the 2010 flag.

Just one of those days. Thought we'd struggle given the emotional wave we've been on but thought we'd be on early.

What does interest me is the return of many posters who were strangely missing when we were up

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
