Nope still no one...

Oh nope someone has asked where they can give away the free tickets they have for next weeks game? Where is the nearest recycling centre?

Brutal.

Their 12 fans must be gutted.

That’s the way I’ll be voting at the Deeland end of season awards night.

I thought the original post was a bit harsh and just trolling GWS, so I took a moment to dig around for a GWS forum myself.

I googled, I followed leads, I even went to bigfooty and to reddit.

Yikes. I mean, no real fans is one thing, but not even being able to get some cranky drunks complaining about umpiring or Melbourne weather being unfair, that's very weak indeed.

There were posts from Nigerian princes becoming war orphans and needing access to their back accounts and about how local milfs in the area need servicing.

No comments on the footy alas though.

A friend was listening to the game on 3AW.  When GWS kicked their first goal and their was no reaction at the G, 3AW played 'The Sounds of Silence'.  LOL!

I believe they’re pretty dirty with Israel Folou’s game.

My pleasure. :)

It really is a weird concept, they are so close to being an incredible team, potential for flags etc and no one gives a hoot about them.

Imagine if this soulless franchise wins a flag... quietest grand final ever.

Their 13 fans must be stoked with their form. What a total joke these expansion clubs are!

I’m surprised given the immense size of their cheer squad today. That flag waved after every goal made a serious statement.

Just his “soc med” game.

Hang on....

TRANSMISSION COMING THROUGH..

Bacchus from Balmain says

Too many crabs cant catch fish

Might try the latest artificial Bait

GREATER WESTERN SHIZEN!!

Bob was busy mowing the lawn today and couldn't make it down for the game and the other supporter, Mary, had to do some shopping. But rest assured they will be fired up come finals time....

I actually think that GWS should be Canberra based. They pull a great crowd there and AFL is in favour in the ACT (played a few seasons there myself). As for Gold Coast, send em’ to Tassie - would mind seeing the ‘Tassie Tigers’ running around.

As for the OP: I could insert a joke about literacy to actually write response, and foreign nationals that reside west of King George’s Road, but that would be just crass..

  • REPORT: Richmond

The fans who turned up to the MCG for Melbourne’s Anzac Day Eve clash against Richmond would have been disappointed if they turned up to see a great spectacle. As much as this was a night for the 71,635 in attendance to commemorate heroes of the nation’s past wars, it was also a time for the Melbourne Football Club to consolidate upon its first win after a horrific start to the 2025 season. On this basis, despite the fact that it was an uninspiring and dour struggle for most of its 100 minutes, the night will be one for the fans to remember. They certainly got value out of the pre match activity honouring those who fought for their country. The MCG and the lights of the city as backdrop was made for nights such as these and, in my view, we received a more inspirational ceremony of Anzac culture than others both here and elsewhere around the country.

  • CASEY: Richmond

The match up of teams competing in our great Aussie game at its second highest level is a rarity for a work day Thursday morning but the blustery conditions that met the players at a windswept Casey Fields was something far more commonplace. They turned the opening stanza between the Casey Demons and a somewhat depleted Richmond VFL into a mess of fumbling unforced errors, spilt marks and wasted opportunities for both sides but they did set up a significant win for the home team which is exactly what transpired on this Anzac Day round opener. Casey opened up strong against the breeze with the first goal to Aidan Johnson, the Tigers quickly responded and the game degenerated into a defensive slog and the teams were level when the first siren sounded.

  • POSTGAME: Richmond

After five consecutive defeats, the Demons have now notched up back-to-back victories, comfortably accounting for the Tigers in the traditional ANZAC Eve clash. They surged to a commanding 44-point lead early in the final quarter before easing off the pedal, resting skipper Max Gawn and conceding the last four goals of the game to close out a solid 20-point win.
