AAAaaaaaargggGGGGgggHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

(Things are clearly going well on my end)

'Error' after I pushed confirm on my credit card details, and another time (after I finally got through again) when I selected my tickets.

Guys, my question didn't get answered through the barrage of anger. Do general admission tickets get released at 2pm?

I've got mine too.  They really should re-invest some of that "hard earned" handling fee back into better servers and website design.  Good luck all

Yes

1 hour still can't get through

Finally!

Had to splurge on the most expensive ticket, but im in!

Ticketek Craigieburn worked a treat. Line isn’t big if anyone wants to do a mad dash. I tried online whilst in line and had major issues.

I have a spare barcode also, PM if anyone needs one.

Guys, dont go through the main page, use the direct link from your MFC email.

I got in straight away using that after spending an hour in the BS que.

Great to hear... obviously the old fashioned ways can still be the best

This might explains things, still very annoying!

Ticketek website struggles with high demand for AFL finals tickets

By Ronny Lerner

28 August 2018 — 9:42am

The rush for AFL finals tickets has got off to a very bumpy start with ticket provider Ticketek’s website struggling to cope with the high amount of traffic.

Ticketek is selling tickets to three of the four first-week finals – Richmond v Hawthorn, Melbourne v Geelong and Sydney v GWS.

Members of those six clubs were told that tickets would go on sale for their finals at 9am on Tuesday.

But for the first 25 minutes at least, it has been a huge struggle for club members to purchase tickets from the Ticketek website.

Initially, customers are greeted with the message: “Thousands of fans are online to get tickets right now. Hold tight, you're in the queue. Please DO NOT refresh this page.”

And after waiting for a few more minutes, many customers are ultimately told: “Sorry ... There was a problem processing your request. Please close your browser and try again.”

Meanwhile, tickets for the West Coast v Collingwood final are being sold by Ticketmaster and there have been no such issues purchasing tickets through that ticket provider’s website.

That is what I did DSP and I suspect most others

Can anybody help me out with a membership code? I stupidly tried to get alternative seats when I got 2 on the fence and I figured my boy wouldn’t be able to see. Now the website says I’ve exhausted my allocation, even tho I don’t have tickets ?

200,000+ tickets all sold at once. Great thinking, 99!

How the [censored] have some of you got through more than once? I can’t get through at all. 2 computers trying for over an hour and no luck. At least it stopped crashing half an hour ago but this queue is endless.

bit like the census... strangely enough the World Cup manages to sell around a million in the same way and it works okay.

Mind you they did stuff up the subsequent mail out.

I just tried again. Right clicked on the buy tickets red button embedded in the email and it got me right in again.

Weird.

Logged in at 9am through Ticketek app and got this error image for 20 mins. Been waiting in queue since. Farcical.

I am rapidly approaching that position too dc. Have been doing  a few things in front of computer. A coffee and 2 cups of tea since 8 this morning and I am busting to go the loo and and petrified I will get through while away.

I managed to get to payment, and confirmed credit card details...but then it crashed.

When I finally got back in 45 minutes later, the Ticketek overlords told me there might be tickets reserved in my Order History.

...And they were!! N55, Olympic Stand!

If you've lost out at the last stages, check your Order History, you might get lucky!

Good luck, friends!

This queue is [censored], how have some gotten in more than once while I can’t get in at all?

"There aren’t enough tickets to meet your request right now. Please try Best Available with a reduced quantity of tickets. If you receive this message even when selecting only one ticket, all remaining tickets are being transacted by other customers."

This is for just a single 'best available' ticket. Farcical

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
