Whoa, lets not get too rough on the young person.

This is getting a wee bit too personal.

His nickname at Geelong is blister, pops up when the hard works done.

No offence but he’s exactly the type of player we should stay away from. He can find the goals, all too inconsistently though.

I would've thought goal kicking consistency is his exact strength. 2 goals a game guaranteed per year. He's obviously a lazy player Goody wouldn't go near, as evidences by Garlett sitting in the VFL. He's also never played more than 19 games in a year.

Dream shopping list

1 -    Gun outside mid  (Andrew Gaff)

2  -   Proven tough reliable KPD who can shut down an opponent and also find the footy a la Hurley (Steven May)

3 -   Electrifying X factor excitement machine in the mold of Jurrah/Farmer  (???)

Steven May, as already stated.

Point 3, well where did we find Jurrah?  How did we get Farmer?

3. Send Jeffy garlett to a motivational 'make the most of your opportunities while you're young' camp, over summer.

1. Andrew Gaff

2. Darcy Moore (can play any position)

3. Kobe Farmer (can’t be too far away)

I love a good trade hypothetical thread, but I feel that people should add ‘How we’d get said player...’ to their suggestions.  There are many suggestions here that are in no way realistic if we didn’t trade out Hogan, Oliver, Petracca, Brayshaw or Gawn.

Alright, I feel dirty even putting this out there but.....

Make a big play for Lynch, can’t see GC matching the bid, pick 3 better than what they will get IMO if Lynch chose to come to us. Then trade Hogan (who I love and this is the only scenario I would even consider trading him) to Fred for say, Andrew Brayshaw.

If we could make it happen, then it would be hard not to do it.

Need to wash my mouth out with soap now....

I think we need to be aggressive and trade for young talent;

Out with the slow and players who cannot kick. I won’t name them!

- Gaff (is a star and very gettable) We must make this happen. Free Agent so we don’t have to trade.

- Tom McCartin! He is a first year player and going be a star! Not sure if he can be traded this early in his career but is definitely a player we should be looking at. I believe he can be a genuine full forward.

- Dylan Shiel. I belief he is un-contracted. Improves our mid field immensely.

We need to be aggressive this trade period. Full stop................

I suspect Hogan is on around 600k but is likely to go to 800k next contract renewal if his 2019 form justifies it. Lynch arguable 1.2M.

Worth doing the sums but I would want Brayshaw and Freo's first rounder for Hogan. Might work.

I think Shiel is contracted until the end of 2019.

We just need to continue to stockpile on talent. Whether thats through the draft or trade.

geez the players looking to move from their current clubs would be finding the dees game style pretty damn exciting! i reckon the recruitment team have a few surprises for us all over the next few months.. as we don't have much to trade with, it could centre around a 3 or 4-way complicated trade situation with lower picks for draft points, etc..

Maybe a Ruckman and another forward would be ideal

Are you referring to Darcy Moore?

Any guy who can only ruck would become very frustrated living in Max’s long shadow.

Adam Cerra. Are there whispers he will seek a return home? #HasETdoneitagain?

I think Leuenberger is out of Contract this year, would be a handy back up to Maxy.

And also an outside mid with ball skills.

We seem to be one club thats pretty quiet on club movements...?

Not predictive text or you would have that's right.

Did anyone catch McClure on SEN this morning, I only caught the last bit of it but did he say that a club was throwing everything at Hogan? And if so, which club was it?

Freeeeeeeeooooooooooo. Will the deal they’re putting together involve Cerra and draft picks? It could. You heard it here first. #ETtradewhisperer.

Added extra o’s

Hugh Goddard and Kieran Collins, both highly rated juniors who have had their share of injury issues.

Both delisted... could be DFA or Rookie option if we’re looking at out key defensive depth.

  • REPORT: West Coast

On a night of counting, Melbourne captain Max Gawn made sure that his contribution counted. He was at his best and superb in the the ruck from the very start of the election night game against the West Coast Eagles at Optus Stadium, but after watching his dominance of the first quarter and a half of the clash evaporate into nothing as the Eagles booted four goals in the last ten minutes of the opening half, he turned the game on its head, with a ruckman’s masterclass in the second half.  No superlatives would be sufficient to describe the enormity of the skipper’s performance starting with his 47 hit outs, a career-high 35 possessions (22 of them contested), nine clearances, 12 score involvements and, after messing up an attempt or two, finally capping off one of the greatest rucking performances of all time, with a goal of own in the final quarter not long after he delivered a right angled pass into the arms of Daniel Turner who also goaled from a pocket (will we ever know if the pass is what was intended). That was enough to overturn a 12 point deficit after the Eagles scored the first goal of the second half into a 29 point lead at the last break and a winning final quarter (at last) for the Demons who decided not to rest their champion ruckman at the end this time around.

  • GAMEDAY: West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have a chance to notch up their third consecutive win — something they haven’t done since Round 5, 2024. But to do it, they’ll need to exorcise the Demons of last year’s disastrous trip out West. Can the Dees continue their momentum, right the wrongs of that fateful clash, and take another step up the ladder on the road to redemption?
