Supporter hoping a team loses...

Garry Lyon always tipped against us! Perhaps he’s not a supporter (or maybe his footy tipping credentials are more important to him)?

Yep tip with your brain, not your heart. Whats the point of going in a tipping comp say worth $1,000 if you don't try to win

As though he needs the money! Eddie McGuire would never tip against Collingwood even if it was $100K: it simply sends the wrong message!

Over the last 10 years, they've had a much better chance of winning than us though!

a piece of trivia:

did you know Melksham has had more scoring shots on goal than T Mac this season?

Melk 14 goals - T Mac 25 goals. Plugger Mac really is so accurate.

also with Hogan on 31, I reckon we will have our highest goal scorer in many years this year if they stay fit. maybe 15 years?  when did Robbo kick 60-70?

Tip against us by all means.

Have a punt against us if you want.

But saying we "can't win" against Port is downright stupid. Some people's MFCSS is clearly incurable.

I'm actually more confident of beating Port than I was of beating the Pies.

Spot on mate. I reckon Port will be tough to beat, but we can knock them off.

Last time I felt we couldn't win games before they started was in 2013. That feeling, thankfully, is long gone!

No doubt a big game and up till last week we would have all said dees. Do we rise to the occasion and show our metal or sink Iike we did last week.

Dees by 13 points in a grinding game. Dyson best on ground and petty the rising star nominee .

This^

would be such a good outcome!

Jack Viney took Port apart at the G last year, in the game he came back to early!

Would love to see him dominate on Friday night!

Without the same injury!

Eddie is the president of the pies Lyon has nothing to do with the dees and thank god for that, when he did he gave us Bailey and Neeld.

Everyone has Pedersen being dropped, not so sure that will happen after 1 bad game when we had so many players down on form.

This is a really hard game to predict the changes for, I wouldn't be surprised if there was no change but also can see Tyson and Garlett coming back in and Petty debuting.  And a smokey could be JKH.

Can you please do up a new best 22, haven’t seen one for a few days!

Stack this game with a heap of South Aussies, as many as we can muster. Big incentive for them and the Coach, and they hate losing a mini "Derby". Next, Jones on "culpepper" and Viney tuned up for brickhead, that leaves, if they are not prevented from getting near the ball, the two best MFC ball players to "gray"se on. Last, Hogan could play his best game Friday night, and so could Petracca........

It’ll be a hard slog and we’ll just get up or we will win by 10+ goals. Last time I predicted the same thing we lost by 42 points. Feeling more confident about this game however.

Dyson sucks. You should be more aware of that Dirts, given the threat to your existence.

Omac trained fully today, looking fwd to the challenge of Dixon, Guthrie obviously a dick

Or... Petty debuts alongside Oscar. Particularly, with Port's talls. My gut tells me Harry will debut this week.

Jones said after the Bulldogs game that the players were tired and looking forward to a 9 day break. It appears the players then mentally checked out. Let’s hope the bye resets the players attitude.

It actually looked that way against the pies, that match wasnt a true reflection of the Dees.

id go with no change.  back the team in that won 6 in a row.  It'll be dry and Port are tall so I think we keep Pedo in.  he had weeks of excellent form at Casey so deserves a game as no other fwds are knocking the door down at Casey

Tyson a chance to come in but not sure for who

Our biggest challenge this season.

Port coming off a confidence boosting win and most of their best players finding form.

We can win, but only if our mob brings its A game to all facets of the match.

Contested possession count and intensity need to go through the roof, and, somehow, our defence must find a way to cover Port's attack. We need to shut down Port particularly in the first half and try and negate their scoring options. Gawn and the midfield need to be all over Port from the first bounce.

Can we negate Ports scoring options and at the same time maximize our scoring options?

It will certainly test our recovery and fitness as we need to be able to run and compete all night.

A season defining match.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
