Jetta has had a brilliant quarter

Milkshake doesn’t look good.

The only record I care about is the one we could break at the end of September this year. Just winning today with our injuries will be enough.

Two down for the day by the looks of it. Will need to dig real deep here

ok there's the consecutive winning quarter streak over. time to start playing properly....

Any news on Lever and Melk?

If it wasn’t for Jetta down back they would have another 3 goals.

Use into F50 is horrible.

Fumbling all over the ground, and getting smashed in the clearances, getting out hunted and without the stats I’d guess hard ball gets as well.

For all the peanuts talking about 10 goal minimum wins, I hope you are now regretting those statements.

Big ask with two down. But if we take our chances we can still we this.

For all their domination around the contest, especially winning the clearances 17-5 and having a bucket load of dodgy free kicks, we're just 8 points down.

They are flooding the contest and flooding our forward line.  I'm glad it's quarter time as I think it gives us a chance to reset and change a few things around to combat it.

With two currently down on the bench, this is a big test for the boys coming off a 6 day break in Alice Springs.  I reckon we can do it.

We're just 1 down. Dogs have an injury too.

2 down, and about 5 minutes of anything resembling our game.  Time to really pick this up.  We knew the doggies would come hard, now to shake them.

Thank god for Jetta. He single handedly saved us 3-4 goals that quarter and has kept us in the game. Midfield needs to lift and lower the eyes going inside 5”. Long bombs to packs are useless.

Wake up Demons!

Who got injured from the dogs?

Need to give Tom and Jesse to tire out there opponents

Dickson

why are the tall forwards trying to out mark each other

2 down, everyone not named Jetta needs to lift.

Harmes in with the defenders at the quarter time huddle. Might see him go back.

Lever. Knee. Hopefully not his ACL

Melksham. Ankle.

Despite a spirited third quarter surge, the Demons have slumped to their worst start to a season since 2012, remaining winless and second last on the ladder after a 39-point defeat to Essendon at Adelaide Oval in Gather Round.

It’s Game Day, and the Demons are staring down the barrel of an 0-5 start for the first time since 2012 as they take on Essendon at Adelaide Oval for Gather Round. In that forgettable season, Melbourne finally broke their drought by toppling the Bombers. Can lightning strike twice? Will the Dees turn their nightmare start around and breathe life back into 2025?

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

As the focus of the AFL moves exclusively to South Australia for Gather Round, the question is raised as to what are we going to get from the  Melbourne Football Club this weekend? Will it be a repeat of the slop fest of the last three weeks that have seen the team score a measly 174 points and concede 310 or will a return to the City of Churches and the scene where they performed at their best in 2024 act as a wakeup call and bring them out of their early season reverie?  Or will the sleepy Dees treat their fans to a reenactment of their lazy effort from the first Gather Round of two years ago when they allowed the Bombers to trample all over them on a soggy and wet Adelaide Oval? The two examples from above tell us how fickle form can be in football. Last year, a committed group of players turned up in Adelaide with a businesslike mindset. They had a plan, went in confidently and hard for the football and kicked winning scores against both home teams in a difficult environment for visitors. And they repeated that sort of effort later in the season when they played Essendon at the MCG.
