Hi all, hope everyone has recovered from the loss and moving onto this week. The fam and I were meant to head up to brisvegas tomorrow night but things changed. We are looking at the second best option and find a pub that other Melbourne fans would all head to...

Any suggestions? Cheers

Trust me I wish I was going!

I know it’s normally how I feel but it’s nice for a change to actually go to the game and luckily I have two up here this season.

Just hope we bloody win.

I normally go to the duke on flinders street to watch the interstate games normally has a few Melbourne supporters. Nice food, good beer and great times!

Really depends what neck of the woods you are in @armstrong35

The Duke is usually a good choice but if you aren't prepared to go all the way into the CBD, you might want to try something more local.

Yeah I’ll probsbly head to the duke of Wellington. It’s ok, doesn’t have the sound up much but it does the job. If anyone knows a place with a better atmosphere around the city or Richmond it would be good to know

On the west side. Has Melbourne still got something going on with sporting globe in Richmond??

Does the Bentleigh club still show games and is it much chop?

It sure does. They’ll put you upstairs and you can watch the game with fellow Dee supporters.

I used to watch our interstate games at our other pub the Leighoak as I live 500m away. You’d get a few Dees supporters in there, not a bad atmosphere. I turned up to watch the St. Kilda JLT game a couple of weeks ago only to be told they gotten rid of Foxtel! So you can’t even watch our club at our club run pub. Wtf?!

I know a few good places in Williamstown but they aren't Melbourne exclusive. Plus if depends where in the West you are.

Not far from Williamstown, maybe I can go check some places there. Rather be out and watch it than just at home :) thanks for that.

@armstrong35

Steampacket Hotel

There is also the Rifle Club near North Willy station. It has Foxtel but it is infested with pokies. It was my local while I lived there but that was mostly because of its convenience.

Up here in Brisbane and watching 1st game live at Gabba for about 3 years.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
