Viney in full training. Looked a million bucks! Barely a rehab group - Jones, Jetta, Tyson and Balic on light duties. All moved well. VDB only notable absentee.

Great, but I really feel for Vanders. He can be a great player with plenty of 'drive' for the footy.

A no show

37 training full session, 4 on light duties and 3 missing, depth in abundance

Although Nibbler may have tweaked something

Sigh. A week of talking him up and now he is broken. Us MFC supporters have a preternatural ability like that.

(JACK WATTS!!!! YOU ARE AWESOME!!! WE MISS YOU!!!)

Am I doing it right?

7 news talking injuries to Lewis and Jones...Jones with sore back. Any update on Nibbles 'tweak'

Jonesy was running and kicking in rehab, so can't be that bad, Nibbler pulled out of main session and did some rehab

As explained before, slightest niggle they have to report

And as somebody elses stated Viney looks cherry ripe to go

And presumably throw them into rehab - whilst i understand that when 4 points are on the line you send a player into a game with a niggle or underdone but no club would be risking players on the training track or a practice game if they had the slightest niggle. Makes no sense to do so.

I think the point that Saty has been making is that under previous coaches (meaning pre-Roos), players did not disclose when they had any niggles so kept training to their own, and the team's, potential longer-term detriment.

sometimes the players aren't the sharpest tools in the shed but i guess they do get nervous with competition for spots.

The sports scientists and fitness guys are very good at the Club, they continually watch the players, especially those returning from injury

I"ve also asked, if you 'hide' something and you are subsequently found out, it's botty smacking from a great height

Out of interest how do you smack a botty from a great height (there's a phrase i would never thought i'd ever be writing - probably best not to google it, at least at work)? With long arms?

Anyone know if Bullen was in full training or in rehab?

Saty said he may have tweaked something on Wednesday.

Mr Double Hyphen, if anyone should know about hyphenated names I would think it would be you. It is Neal-Bullen

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
