Out for ever: Wagner, stretch

In: Watts, Salem

Viney if ready for Vince.

I would agree with these. Ideally if Viney could have another 2 weeks off would make his recovery a lot easier.

A bit risky yes but unless he is close to 95 to 100% why play him?

wagner gets a game cos he's a classic role player; like harmes he's not overly skilled but he has a dip at every contest

in saying that, it's hard to see watts or vince being suspended, although the latter is borderline compared to the former in the magoos - if he is to come back in, it's at the expense of either harmes or wagner you'd think

IN: viney, watts
OUT: stretch, wagner

B: Jetta - T Mac - Hibberd
HB: Hunt - O Mac - Lewis
C: Tyson - Jones - Vince
HF: Petracca - Pedersen - Melksham
F: Hannan - Hogan - Garlett
Foll: Gawn - Oliver - Viney
I/C: Watts - Brayshaw - ANB - Harmes

salem needs a massive vfl game to get back in for finals week 1

Yep that's a very good team, and given Goodwin likes to push one or two back ( I don't like this tactic) guess What?? Watts is the perfect Vacuum cleaner and is versatile! He MUST com in!

Goodwin loves tacklers.    That IS an amazing number of tackles in anyone's language.

Against Williamstown. JKH has been given multiple chances and has shown he can't step up to senior footy time and again. Hope they don't make the same mistake next week.

How many more chances does Vince get, another stinker today, I don't think he has fired a shot since the bye.

For mine I'd have Vince, Wagner and Stretch out and Viney, Salem and Watts (reluctantly) in

Tyson was one of the reasons we got out to a 40 point lead last week, opened the Saints up in the first quarter

The problem with Tyson he his very hit a miss, but when he is on I dare say we win more than we lose. No way I would drop him despite his inefficiency today.

OUT- Wagner, Stretch

IN- Watts, Kennedy, Composure (especially going inside 50), a forward line structure we can kick to for 4 quarters, 1 on 1 football (we play our best when we do this), more kicking, more risks going forward and play through the middle. Etc etc.

I woukd like to see Kennedy come in and play as a pressure forward who can rotate with Garlett and Hannan.

Watts comes in. We need his height and kicking efficiency. VFL game was an improvement abd should be recalled.

Viney rests until finals assuming we make it.

Is Bernie in any sort of trouble for the hit on Beams? Was pretty clearly going for the footy and just braced for contact. Obviously trying to spoil but was looking the other way

Bernie is in trouble all right, not for the hit though, for his kicking. I don't think I have seen a game in the last few weeks where he hasn't handed the opposition at least one or two goals. And don't get me started on Wagner, when he shanked that goal today from 25 meters I just about lost it. And that was just the most memorable piece of crappy play and a long list of them.

I'm really disappointed about Stretch, he really looked like he was shaping up to be something last year. This year he just looks lost.

Out: Wagner, Vince, Stretch

In: Frost, Salem, Watts

Vince kicked an important goal.

That shot for goal was from almost 50 metres out, hence why he shanked it as he went for extra distance.

Having said that I agree he needs to be dropped.  Stretch was okay but may be pushed out for Salem.  I feel as though they may give Viney another week off too, so we may just see a Watts and Salem for Wagner and Stretch chance.  Hannan will get lucky for a week.

Unfortunately we play Saturday and if we lose, the other games that matter are on a Sunday. We must win to ensure my Sunday is a more relaxed one than 15 minutes into the last quarter today.

viney in if fit , Salam in and watts.

Pedo is an absolute legend and hogan, I salute you. Jones was incredible and I felt petracca is on the way back. Go dees seal the deal.

It seems obvious that Viney came back too early. We now have the opportunity to give him another two weeks rest. Let's use it.

Collingwood will come out firing but if we can't beat them without Viney then we are not up to playing finals.

At what point will selectors bring Tyson into these omission discussions? He is a momentum killer.  27 possessions at 59% just doesn't cut it. He is also a liability away on the spread. And for those that want to quote its due to his role; Jones, Lewis and Oliver all went at better than 80%.

Out: Wagner, Stretch, Tyson (only if Viney plays which I dont expect)

In: Watts, Salem, Viney (if fit)

He was totally spent in the last quarter as well.

Tyson seemed a bit lukewarm today but he is probably too good to leave out based on one soft game. I thought Hannan could have put a bit more acid on the brissie players with the ball but he would also be stiff to miss out.

Out for mine ........ Wagner, Stretch ( little impact ) Vince.

In..........  Watts, Salem, Frost. ( Do not put Viney in no matter what he says or does this week )

I must have  been at a different match because I saw another bloke with a no. 42 on his back totally shank a kick from about 30 metres out.

Got this from a blog of the game:

Wagner marks 45m out on a slight angle but misses the lot. (Q3 20:56

He marked it 45 out, meaning he kicked it from close to 50.  Can't understand how you blokes missed it.

I watched the game live, yes.

Hold on - are we talking about different incidents?  I saw him shank one when he was going to snap a goal in the second term, but he also marked one in the third term and kicked that one out on the full.

He also had a snap toward the city end that was effing pitiful.

He skulks around like he has no confidence in himself.

Fake it, mate! You're in the AFL! Nibbler faked it for two years and now he is doing what he thought he could do all along.
