Also big news at the Holden Centre where Geelong VFL upsey Collingwood VFL which means there's not even a mathematical possibility of Casey Seniors being displaced from the finals.

Game about to start. Because it's on tv I'll leave you Demonlanders plenty of commentary room and only come in from time to time.

Can only hope Jack W plays a big one today. A confident Jack W can only do our chances the world of good.

watts' first 5 mins were great and trengove has no trouble winning the ball but his kicking is so up-and-under...

willo have dominated last 10 mins without putting it on the scoreboard...and just like that they get their third

1.3.9 to 3.3.21

Williamstown look so much more clean in tricky conditions and that's the difference at the moment.

Casey look really dangerous when they can get it forward though.

Watts is clearly a class above.

For those at work who cannot get to a TV, it is a muddy, fumbely game. Their ruckman Meese has had 20 hit outs already. With Kennedy being held over we are getting killed at the contest today. Maynard isnt having an impact, JKH is missing and Trenners is playing behind the ball.

Watts class above and looks like a forgone conclusion he is playing for the Dees next week.
Frost and Keilty are playing really well and look likely if we need someone to come up to the 1's.
Bugg has had some good moments but is understandably a little behind the game. Wouldnt be surprised if he has a special second half. Looks a class above but hasnt inserted himself into the game yet.
Weid wont do anything today. No delivery and a bad day for a key forward.

lovely kick by hullett to make it 3.4 to 3.5

watts is copping a bath from joel tippett curently

Agree re Watts. He looks to be trying but he isn't getting near it. Had a spell in the ruck and is now down back.

Maynard in everything. Strong around the contest but disposal hasn't been clean.

King has lifted a bit this quarter but Meese is still dominant.

Weid just look a great mark, overhead on the lead in a contested situation. Missed the shot but it was. Has also been in the ruck.

Cohesion.

The same group play and train together each week. In 2017s structured game, individual brilliance has less impact than in previous eras.

Tippett (who has been into Watts off the ball all day) just took out Fritsch(?) high and a touch late to give a 50m and a goal.

Casey 29 v Seagulls 30

Morrison a quick second with a soccer off the ground from a pack.

35 v 30

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. We’re already a month into the MFC preseason (if you started counting when the younger players in the group began the campaign along with some of the more keen older heads)

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
