Wow just saw the video of it, when that gets 3 weeks and Wines's gets a fine you know the system needs an overhaul. 3 weeks for a push that makes very minimal contact with the neck and chin, regardless of any record, is a disgrace.

Wines got all the luck and Redpath got none of it.

Overhaul the system AFL, that has to be a priority in the off season.

Is it just me or has everybody that has shown physical aggression towards Phil Davis been suspended this year?

Have heard the guy is a massive wuck fit of the highest order. Surely that would be the main argument put forward at the tribunal in a players' defence?

Yes, Davis was the guy that got Hawkins suspended.  He has been known to dive and there was a discussion on one of the footy programs that he is making a habit of it.

The annoying thing for me is the Oliver was torn to shreds by the media for (not) diving (a case that also went to the Tribunal) but Davis is barely mentioned.

I feel for Redpath but the MRP should look at Davis' antics a bit more closely - so should the media.

They should have got Davis to speak and ask if he went down a bit to easily. It was an open hand.

Ollie Wines hit was the one the afl hate.  The guy left the ground and raised his elbow.

Id be filthy this morning if I  followed the dogs

You can kick someone in the head, but have to be careful when tackling a player to ensure that their head doesnt hit the ground.

Redpath. 3 weeks, what a joke. Ollie Wines escapes with a fine. Bizarre game.

There is no common sense anymore, how Redpath ends up with 3 and Wines gets zilch is absolutely mind boggling.

So frustrating for supporters,  the games custodians need to take a good hard look at themselves, surely something has to change, next season with the farcical structure of the MRP.

Don't you hate it when auto correct changes comedians to custodians...

I know where Redpath went wrong. Firstly he should have struck Davis with the stops on his boot to the lower part of Davis' face, drawing blood. No problem with that. The other problem is being a Bulldogs player. Big mistake !!!!!

Am I correct in saying that the extra week Redpath got was for challenging the decision and failing?

If so that needs to be changed. I know in the past there were too many challenges and so the AFL wanted a disincentive to challenge but that is way too harsh.

I'd say you would be correct yes. Didn't help that he stuffed up his statement either.

It doesn't matter though because its completely ridiculous. The MRP seem to have differing views on everything.

Who is on the MRP? I agree Davis should ashamed of him self as should the AFL.

Apparently last night Michael Christian,  Paul Williams and i can't remember who else were on the panel

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
