If we won the premiership

If we win the premiership, who would your loudest cheer be for when they accept their premiership medal?

  • Jack Watts - the whipping boy, booded by the club that crucified him. a brilliant user of the ball and integral part of the team. The face of the dees and much loved around the club..
  • Max Gawn - our culture is apparently hopeless and he got caught by Neitz having a smoke on the way to training. Has since embraced a leadership role
  • Neville Jetta - heart and soul and just about everyones favourite player
  • Jack Viney -It annoys me when commentators say Joel Selwood is tough. Jack Viney is easily the toughest player in the league.
  • Jayden Hunt- Expect Andre Macloed's  grand final form. Norm Smith medalist
  • Jordan Lewis- Premiership hero actively wanting tot\i come to Melbourne
  • Nathan Jones -three best and fairets' and a leader. Could dictate the game.
  • Oliver / Brayshaw / Petracca - watch out to the competition. Even Buklcey ' coach't coach them backwads,I expect I will be cheering Jaydnen Hunt but time will tell

I'll pick Dom Tyson..

There are obvious grammatical and spelling errors throughout the post. I apologise and din't know how to edit them with the new software.

Jonesy for me. Heart and soul for so long, has kept us afloat during the dark times.

Stupid thread.

Let's try and make the finals first. The next 3 games are basically elimination finals for us.

Lucky we won't be playing them in the big one.

I thought this was gonna be about celebrations!

Why can't there be an "if" thread without someone going "one week at a time"? You can't tell me you don't imagine Demon Premierships from time to time - mentioning it out loud does not invoke some kind of jinx that automatically makes the team lose that week.

Dream on, Demonlanders!

My therapist has told me to stop thinking about Melbourne winning a premiership. She said is it delusional and self destructive.....

IF  we won the premiership I reckon I would cry at first(being on the [censored]). Out of all my friends I'm the most passionate and the only paid up member, I'm the only one who attends every home game and one interstate game per year. Most of seen there team win won so I'm somewhat jealous. The reason I'd be so emotional is because all my pop wanted was to see them win one with me there. He knows how much I love my demons and he passed away this year and it would mean everything if they got up. Would be a dream if they won this year.

twice in succession,and I'm 64.

I will cry happy tears.

I will attempt to sing the club song even though i didnt have any voice left.

I will get really drunk.

I will spew.

I will try to sing the song again

I will watch the evening news to make sure it was real.

I will cry while watching the news.

I will vomit.

I will call in sick for tomorrow before i couldnt work the telephone.

I will run out onto the street with my MFC gear on and high 5 random strangers.

I will drink more.

I will spew while singing the club song.

I will go back inside to watch the replay.

I will cry AND spew while watching the replay.

I will watch the replay.

I will watch the replay.

I will watch the replay.

I will watch the replay.

I will watch the replay.

I will watch the replay.

I will watch the replay.

I will watch the replay.

I will watch the replay.

I will watch the replay.

I will watch the replay.

I will watch the replay.

I will watch the replay.

If watching Jones winning a flag for us doesn't move you to tears, you aren't even a Melbourne supporter.

Nobody will deserve a louder cheer than Jones. Followed closely by whichever genius coach breaks this premiership drought.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Essendon

It’s Pink Lady night at Princes Park — a vibey Friday evening setting for a high-stakes clash between second-placed Melbourne and eleventh-placed Essendon. The wind-sheltered IKON Park, a favourite ground of the Demon players, promises flair, fire and a touch of pink. Melbourne has never lost a home-and-away game here, though the ghosts of two straight-sets finals exits in 2023 still linger.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 1 Steven May

The premiership defender has shown signs of wear and tear due to age, and his 2025 season was inconsistent, ending poorly with a suspension and a noticeable decline in performance. The Demons are eager to integrate younger players onto their list and have indicated that they may not be able to guarantee him senior games next season, in what would be the final year of his contract.

The young key tall failed to make progress during the season, with a decline in his goal kicking output. His secondary role as a backup ruckman, which may have hindered his ability to further develop his game, and he was also impacted by the team's poor forward connection. It will be interesting to observe his performance under a new coaching regime.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #3 Christian Salem

Salem proved to be a valuable contributor as a reliable and solid one-on-one medium-sized defender in what was undoubtedly his most impressive season since the premiership year. He remains a highly capable rebounding option for the Demons as he approaches his 200th game at the club.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

Following an injury-interrupted start to the season, McVee struggled to maintain the standard he established in 2025 as he pursued an expanded role within the team structure. He remained a firm fan favourite and the club had hoped to negotiate a new contract with the former rookie selection from Western Australia, whose partner, Lily Johnson, plays for Melbourne's AFLW side. Those hopes were dashed when he expressed his desire to return to his home state and play for Fremantle. Like all players who have worn the red and blue and are leaving this year, we wish him well in the future.
