Heard tonight that Max had scans on his ankle this morning. He might not be right for Saturday.

Some encouraging news.

We have the lowest percentage in the 8 and are only in there by 1 game and peple are thinking of resting players?
Give me a spell.

This is such an important item.

We need to deliver a thumping somewhere between now and the end of the H&A. I reckon we can get hold of North this weekend.

JKH good VFL player poor AFL one

Need to give him a chance to mature. we have far too often criticized players as not being up to it, to find ourselves being proven wrong. A couple of years ago Max was not highly regarded, Jetta couldnt cut it as a forward, Frost, both Mac's, ANB, Melksham, etc... he is young and needs some games.

I think that Vince's best position isn't off the half back flank. With Hibberd, Hunt, Salem and at time Lewis I think that's plenty of half back flankers bringing the ball out of defence. When Bernie was in good form for Melbourne he was playing in the midfield and off a wing. Remember in the first couple of seasons seeing him running and receiving the handball kicking 50m goals, that's the Vince we need back. I think we should push him back into the midfield and off a wing.

There are four interstate games being played this Saturday (including ours),  and not one of them will be on Channel 7.

I think Gawn might be given a week off. Not sure if they want to play him at 50%.

jones might also be given another week.

pederson in for Gawn.

GWS have only won 1 of their last 6, pencil it in!

Lost two out of their last five, same as us!

OK - the joke is stretched now and has flown through to the keeper

Expecting Goldy to come back into the team and if he hits some form he usually hits the scoreboard too.

If Magic door stays in their team I would be more open to your suggestion.

There's training right now. I'll let someone actually there start the thread but suspect what's observed will colour our views re changes.

Im very curious.

damn just as we get a reminder of how awesome Gawn is in that first quarter - a dead set Star and game changer - he rolls his ankle.  ah well, could be worse, im sure he'll be right for the Great Western flogs next week

Peedo in for Gawn.

Ben Guthrie tweeted saying jetta rolled his ankle and left the track. Hope its just a small tweek and nothing serious

From the video Ben Guthrie posted he doesn't seem in too much discomfort leaving the track

SEN reporting Max in doubt, but not saying anything different than has already been reported on here.

I knew finishing a match with zero injuries was strange. Glad they finally compensated us at training with our mid-week injuries to important players!

Well seriously why would one broadcast a Norf home game before 55 spectators?

If Jetta is out Wagner comes straight back in and Pedo for Gawn if he doesn't get up. No other changes unless Jones is ready.

Did any one see Oliver at training if so how was he looking?

You prefer JKH to Trengove Barney?

That must mean you have very low opinion of Trengove.

No I didn't say that.

At the moment Trenners doesn't have the speed to play AFL.

I would like to see him play if he was 100%. I just don't think he ever will reach those heights again.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.
