We haven't played Brisbane this year. I can't believe you think we won't beat them in Round 22 at the MCG.

Pretty good game from Zaharakis at 114 AF points and 31 disposals, 2 goals and 6 inside 50's!

Let's get him!

Both players in their 2nd season, hopefully both have long careers ahead and both clubs have great players.

I wouldn't judge Parish on 3 quarters of football.

The same way I wouldn't judge Oliver on his Friday effort against the Swans 2 weeks ago.

Oliver had his season low 24 touches against the Swans.  Poor game by his standards but still a pretty good game for mere mortals.

Agree with your point though.  Parish will be a player.  Wouldn't be unhappy with him at all if I were in your shoes.

Ash35 is a bummers fan, CD, so that's who he means by "us".

He's a nice Bummers fan though - has posted a lot on here over the years.  Be nice.

Yup that's jumping the gun a bit.....if we can't beat Bears, no point making finals anyway.

Saints with a very soft underbelly. Good to see Montagna stink it up. Hickey should be playing Nepean League.

Thanks for the clarification... I do have some practice being nice to Don fans, 1 of my brothers and my wife are both supporters of "whatever it takes!"

Hard to believe after the way this quarter started that Essendon are now ahead in it.  Well done St Kilda for managing to play half of a quarter.

Obviously Oliver is a great young player, but I didn't think he played particularly well against Sydney, yes had 24 touches, but wasn't an influence at all that night. But yes, it was his poorest game this year which is saying something.

Parish can only wish he gets 24 disposals tonight. Playing 'bruise free'. Bwahahaha!!!

Well Ash35, it's understandable given the week before he was ko'd Mal Brown style in Perth. Amazed he got up for the game at all.

Yep, should have clarified, I'm Essendon

Despite tonights result, our losses to Sydney and Brisbane will cost us playing finals.

Unlike Melbourne. I see you guys making it which is a tremendous effort considering the injury hurdles you guys have faced this year. You should win at least 4 more games [Port at MCG, Saints, Brisbane and NM], which gets you in the 8.

Syd and Bris results could have had you 10 - 6 at the end of tonight. As with our Hawks and Freo results - letting games slip can really hurt.

    TRAINING: Friday 28th February 2025

A couple of Demonland Trackwatchers headed down to Gosch's Paddock to bring you their observations from today's training session before the Demons head off to Perth for their final Practice Match. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Beautiful morning, not much wind, more than a couple of dozen spectators.  The players were up and about, boisterous and having fun. One of their last drills were three teams competing in a hard at it, handball game in a small area. Goody

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the

We'll break down the Match SIM against North Melbourne and wrap up the preseason with insights into training and our latest recruits.
