We have the female ump today. Lets hope they are better than last week. Think it's the first time i haven't seen the opposition fans behind the goals but then realised they were holding up the gcbanner. Nice ground, bit different to being at the g

our last three games against GC in Alice have averaged out at losses by 7 goals .... so if we beat them by 21 goals we will have a winning average !!

Thoughts on Paul Roos saying Oscar McDonald should swing forward as he "was a good forward as a kid" DL ?

Go you mighty Demons!!!!

Not sure if I can handle Dermot Brereton commentating today.

The first catastrophic error goes to Frost.

Frost and O Mac, let's see how they fare today.

Bwaaaaa ha ha ha, a slow start and our opponents get the jump on us.

The surprise is shaking me to my core.

3 inside 50s, 2 goals.

Melbourne? Long, high balls to a congested forward line against the wind.

Kicking into a 3-4 goal breeze.  About to kick our first now.  Nothing to worry about so far.

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
