Make no mistake the Hawks are in a corner and will come out fighting.

They certainly will....and we'll smack em down and wait for the white towel

Bit of a day for ducks.....they better keep ducking !!

Hoping we can put 4 quarters together, we haven't done it yet this year but if we do I expect a big win

Just preparing for the treck to the G.

The maid is currently warming my designer thermal underwear and I may even pack a hip flask.

Careful how you pack the hip flask in the thermals, those around you may think you are 'happy'

I hope I'm really happy on the way home Saty!

Won't be able to watch as I have just moved and my internet isn't up and firing yet. I am writing this from my smartphone.

McEvoy is more of a daunting prospect in the ruck than Bellchambers, so hopefully the Bear can put two good performances together in a row.

We should win by 4 goals but the players should be taking nothing for granted.

Mc Evoy moves as fast as Herman Munster!

Make sure the hip flask doesn't move to front and square Uncle otherwise the police might have to arrest you being in possesion of an offensive weapon!

You do know treck is an archaic form of trek, doing yourself a disservice there BBO

I have the same hope, main stress after a loss for me is trying to prevent the lovely lady's scarf going into each bin we pass, as we walk back home through the lovely East Melbourne

We are all just a little damaged. We know we should win this but the past ten years tells us otherwise.

Dogs v Tigers last night

Hit outs: 50-27 in favour of the Tigers

Clearances: 40-32 in favour of the Dogs

Tigers were not playing their number one ruckman so that could be a factor

Oliver will probably be tagged today

Welcome any comments on strategies to look out for at the match today

Very confident we'll flush this lot to where they belong.

Dees by 6 goals

I'm really nervous about this game. It's a game we typically lose and with all the upsets it's getting pretty tight for top 8 positions

Lose and we are on the same number of wins as Carlton, facing the Crows at home, on the rebound.

Think about that...

dees by 25, I think it'll be a good contest but we will control it over four quarters

Jayden hunt best on ground

us by 37

As a list they have almost a full year more of experience than us. And am sure they'd love to reminds us, "A young man  is a theory, an old man is a fact."

But I prefer Miles Davis' wisdom. "A legend is an old man with a cane known for what he used to do. I'm still doing it."

Should and will win today.

Spanked them last time..... Should have won the one before.

Current form suggests they haven't sufficient manpower or the legs to go with us for 4qtrs.

Another Good win coming up.

Its there for the taking.

At work with the earpeice tucked under the beanie. Hopefully we run all over them on the outside and convert .

As I approach the ground, a flock of ravens is being pursued by a single, pure white bird, and a cloud the size and shape of a UPS delivery van passes high overhead. I hear distant music, and its melancholy refrain reminds me of a time long ago, before the deliberate out of bounds rule was ruined. Two small figures perch in a tree overhead, speaking in a language unknown to me. I ignore them. Subtle movements in the earth beneath my feet trouble me, but patterns in the fallen leaves may suggest benign times ahead. The wind cries, 'Mary'.

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
