GAMEDAY - Round 7

I am going to die because of this team one day. They never settle into an understandable, predictable consistency but up and down mountains every match. Fair dinkum I will be a mess in half an hour win or lose.

WOW! C'mon dees finish it off.

Handball ratio from 0.73 to 0.83 now.....More kicks than hand balls that quarter .....finally

We've turned it into a running game

Awww shizen.

Thats what u get for leaving early. What the hell happened?

This is precisely where we didn't want to be.  Show us what you are made of Dees ...... a meritorious win please!

Great stuff Dees.  Another quarter like that please!

Where are all the Goody critics? Good moves in that quarter.

Welcome back Viney. We've missed you!

Amen to that.  Willed us back into the contest in the first part of that term, and the rest soon followed his lead.

Thought Hogan was terrific in that term as well, really made an impact and not just by kicking goals.  His quick kick to Garlett on the lead was a ripper.

We got two mate, plus no goal conceded, so I think we'll take that!

Par for the course...

But seriously. I am bloody stoked. If we win this game, this thread will go down in the annals as one of the best MFCSS-to-raptures threads in history.

This is why watching our team is so frustrating. They can play so badly and this well within the space of an hour.

Well done for fighting back. For once we are a rotation up so keep pushing boys.

Taking leaving early to a whole new level

And I love Hunt forward too. He was superb to start the quarter.

Come on Dees! Please!

We seem to have more energy....most likely due to the nap we all had in the first quarter

A post worthy of Titus, that one.

Usual thing everyone on here has said. Everyone goes up. No one stays down. Goal. Unbelievable.

How many went up at that contest....sucked in Dees.

Geez!  All go up in the contest again!

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
