Daisy in the media

How good is Daisy's commentary?? She's quickly becoming one of my favourites because despite being a demon she seems to remain unbiased, and calls it as she sees it and really knows what she's talking about!

Thanks for clarifying who that was. I just assumed it was Hymie the robot from Get Smart.

What's offensive is convicted cheating neanderthals like Ricky Nixon's opinion on Daisy

He has been reduced to the role of a pathetic and bitter sniper. Trying to get publicity through cheap shots like that - bah just ignore the fool.

Gotta love Daisy. She may well have put her foot in the door for an expanding career in the media. She seems to be universally respected ( apart from [censored] like Nixon) and I certainly find her comments valuable and incisive .

She provides a terrific ambassador for the MFC.

I have to confess to a crush though - I have her pic on my membership badge and live in hope of running into in the members so I can get it autographed. ( I even carry a sharpie with me)

She is a natural. Intelligent and all  class unlike some of her male counterparts.                               Ricky Nixon is irrelevant and simply a disgraceful human being.  His comments prove the point.           Well done Daisy.

Ricky Nixon has a problem with her (other than she's older than 14 and doesn't do cocaine).

Glowing recommendation. That guy is like some kind of jumble sale of messed up vicious ego idiot.

But in all seriousness, she might just be the best new commentator introduced in a decade, or who knows how long really? Especially to be so good so early. Doesn't waste words, sticks to her job as boundary rider providing current information and then interviews searching for a bit of character in the breaks, rather than going on long and boring BTs... I mean, inane rants.

I can only admire Ricky Nixon and Charlie Sheen. Not because I like what they say,but because of their dedication to modern feminism and cocaine.

I just made the unfortunate mistake of checking out his Facebook page......

If I saw one of my friends liked that page then I'd probably question our friendship.

It's not even Nixon himself that I have the problem with, as he's just had his life fall apart, is very sad and is trying desperately to get some sort of connection to the football industry back, no matter how pathetic it might be. Seeing a woman doing 'his' job must kill him inside.

The real problem is the people who follow him and comment. They are just awful people. Awful, awful people.

Just stumbled across this. Agree, Daisy's great.

Nixon, my god. That's one of the problems of social media - even pathetic drunks get a platform - guy can't even spell "sweet'".

The Nixons of this world can get away with a lot of objectionable behavior while they're on top, but once the bubble is burst, there's no coming back. Their base character is exposed to the world.

We may be about to see another example with John Coates.

Daisy...already  more informative and knowledgeable than Taylor !!

Surely that's not actually Ricky Nixon ^ and rather some internet troll claiming to be him.

Wasn't Nixon at all.  Apparently some schoolgirl stole his phone, clothes and access pin.

Social media 101: Don't. Read. The. Comments.

Nixon is the bad guy and we are all really good .

We can sit and watch Ricky spiral from the safety of our moral high ground for knocking our Daisy.

He is like the bad santa of the afl and I don't think he really cares if people think he is a mysoginist or a seducer of troubled teens. Not one bit.

If everybody in the AFL had clean laundry I would be shocked.

Having said that about Nixon,I still think he is wrong- she is a tolerable commentator but she ain't quite Howard Cosell.

Cossell wouldn't have lasted 5 mins in the middle

You could have been talking about any one of three different Nixons. President Richard, Chief Commissioner Christine and now Ricky.

Boys will be boys but Christine was totally destructive and divisive and never punished.

Thats the only rational conclusion to be drawn as I'm sure everyone agrees.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
