Imagine 85-90% gametime from Clearance Clarry!

I wonder if he would have just as much impact or if the fact that he can come in for short bursts means he has a greater impact in the game.

I think his output would only drop if he is struggling with his endurance ie cannot get to enough contests, too fatigued to jump when tackled to free his arms, that sort of thing.

Valid points CB and  AKA - unless he were to find that undetectable "something" that allowed Cousins to run all day +++ in the GF 2006 or 2007.

Of course all things are undetectable if unsought, and if indeed such were detectable then swept under some magic carpet somewhere.

Can someone please make a GIF of that handpass to Jones who then kicked the goal from his left foot?

Had to slow down and enlarge to see properly.

Smaller, speed of light version aka reality.

They were talking about this stoppage on "Access all arears" - Saints outnumbered us 7 to 4 at this contest. Doesn't matter how many opponents are at the contest if you draw 4 players to you and still get away a "sublime" handball that Jones could run onto at full tilt.

His hands are absolutely sublime.

OCTOBER 21 2015

"Melbourne have utilised both the new points-based draft system and the introduction of future pick trading to take a huge plunge into this year's national draft."

And now we can see why.

If I was the Saints coach I would also be giving Hickey a bake - even though Watts didn't really get much of a hand on the ball, to allow a second string ruckman ( shorter and lighter) to out body him, get front position and thereby allowing the ball to spill out the back was poor. Hickey had one job and that was to get the ball defensively to the front of the pack.

Watch the lead up to ANB's goal in the last and tell me how Max lost that ruck contest to Ross. Happens to the best of them

I thought that would come up  - learn to throw the ball in umpire....

haha it's not as bad as that "3rd man up" with Vickery and Hartung. Such a stupid way to implement the rule.

sorry..you need to drive to "Stupid" and then go about 50 kilometres past for that decision.

That decision was only second behind the decision  for gross stupidity in the JLT where the ball was thrown in short from the boundary and hit one of the onballers on the back of the hea who was waiting in front of the ruckman  and he was free kicked against for third man up .....

Brent Harvey played well after David King finished

He did a similar one at a critical moment in the memorable victory vs Hawks last year.  He has fantastic vision and execution.

If you watch the umpire segment on afl website they explain what happened and it was the correct decision, omeara took the ball up before that with vickery there so the umpires ask someone to nominate who is taking the ruck and if no one puts there hand up then no one is allowed to go up, so it's upto the players to sort it out I like the rule I think it's good for us as when gawn is well on top like Saturday st kilda couldn't even change things up by sending 3rd man up

Watching the reply I was looking for a moment when we turned the game around. To me, it was with about 12 minutes to go in the second, with what resulted in Weideman's beautiful running goal. The catalyst was Oliver, scooping the ball up and shooting off the first in what was a seamless chain of handbills, moving us into the 50m arc and setting up the Weed. Champagne football and a sign of the glory to come.

The slow-mo vision of that handball shown on Access All Areas really shows how brilliant it was.

This kid is something else.

Still my favourite piece of play. One handed against a 3 time premiership player. Impressive

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
